Koala Matte Waterslide Decal Paper No Need Spary Coating 8.5x11 In White

I am by no means a professional at making custom diecasts, but WOW this stuff made it possible for me to make diecasts of my real racecar and iracing racecars. Prints out like paper and immediately can be used in water. I can’t imagine how anyone rips this stuff. I’m very heavy handed and I had no problems using this decal paper. When using clearcoat, use thin coats and allow to dry before going over it again. Otherwise it will get too runny and the decals will start curling. Not a fault of the decal paper…but user error. I’m already on my 3rd or 4th purchase of these! Works on diecasts, coffee cups, phone cases, etc. it’s smooth and easy to use. Quality is A+!

I bought this paper to personalize mugs and thermoses, and I loved that it doesn't require a spray sealer. The print came out very sharp on my inkjet printer, and the colors stayed vibrant after transfer. The matte texture gives it an elegant finish, perfect for gifts. It glides easily with water and won't tear. The designs adhere well to smooth surfaces like glass, ceramic, and plastic. It saves time because you don't need to pre-seal. These work great for nail art

I bought this product to personalize coffee mugs for family and friends attending my husband's retirement celebration. So, it was super important to get this right. I didn't want to embarrass or disappoint him with poor results. This was my first time doing a decal project. So, I have no experience with other products in order to provide comparison comments. In regards to my experience with the product, do yourself a favor and do a water submerge test before wasting time, money and effort. The packaging states that the smooth, whiter side of the paper is the waterslide. Nope. I wasted an entire pack of paper before realizing that I had printed on the wrong size. I found that out when I placed the printout in water and the waterslide was white and the print was on the backing :( I purchased more paper and started again. I'm pleased and relieved to say the mugs turned out great! The decal went on fairly easily once I got the hang of it. There was no problem with tearing. I was able to smooth out the decal by gently using a dry paper towel and my fingers. Placing the mugs in the oven as recommended, certainly was good advice. That seemed to seal the decal onto the cup. Now, that I know how to work with this product, I will definitely purchase it again. I gave a 3-star rating because the package instructions cost me a whole pack of paper and delayed completion of my project by two days while I waited for delivery another pack.

This decal paper is easily my new favorite decal paper to use for projects. The convenience of having ready to go Decals is unmatched. You will no longer need to wait for the Decals to dry after spraying 15 thousand coat of Cancerous sealer before using them. The film itself is not very sticky as opposed to other Decal paper’s I’ve used in the past. I highly recommend using a solution such as “Micro Sol” and “Micro Set” to soften the decals and make them more easier to work with. I won’t explain how to use Micro Sol and Micro Set in this review as their are plenty of YouTube videos to search for giving you step by step instructions on how to use those solutions. The Matte finish threw me off a bit as I am used to working with highly Glossy Decal paper but it’s understandable considering the paper is compatible with Inkjet printers so their needed to be some chances to the paper itself. I would recommend Koala to keep upgrading the product and maybe using a material that will be a bit more Glossy and that will stick better to the surface one is applying the decal to. I would love to see Koala make a Transparent or “Clear” version in the near future. I’ve read some of the reviews and will say to come up with your own judgement once you purchase the decal paper. Most reviewers don’t know how to properly use or make Decals so keep that in mind.

I love the product and the endless possibilities with customize options I have ALTHOUGH I DESPERATELY NEED FOR THEM TO PUT A LOGO OR SOMETHING TO TELL THE BACK SIDE FROM THE PRINT SIDE ... I just wasted a whole pack printing and cutting on the wrong side to now having no more products to use for my craft😭 now because of this minor mix up i won't be able to meet my deadline VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND SAD... PLEASE FIND A SOLUTION TO HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM

The quality of this is really poor. I was hoping that this would save time not having to spray the coating but ended up costing me much more time and money. Once applied, it would peel off when dried and the failure rate is very high (50% plus). I would not recommend this product.
