Keeps tank at set temperature but controller is to close to plug can’t mount it and when heater engages makes loud clicking.

I like some of the features such as an exterior digital thermometer and adjustments. I do not like the that it makes a click noise every time it turns on to heat. A bit annoying when house is silent and then all of a sudden you hear clicking. Also the orange is a bit bright. If you want your heater more hidden this wouldn’t be the one you want.

Strong heater. Keeps tank at set temperature. Slight fluctuations over the past 8 weeks, but not enough to throw the tank off. Would recommend.

Delivered April 9th today is May 17 so I can't return it. It was set to 80 degrees and started getting too hot in my 110 gallon. I thought my pump has to be over heating and turned it off and ordered a new one but it was the heater. After leaving it unplugged and plugging it up and this morning everything was cooked ... all my very expensive animals that I have been raising... the temp was over 100 degrees

This heater is currently keeping my 25 gallon aquarium five degrees warmer than the room it is in. It’s had no problems keeping up with that temperature. The design is interesting.I love that the controls are outside of the tank. The controller is easy to use with only one button. You press the button until your desired temp. If you pass it up, keep pressing and it will return to around 60 degrees and you can try again. I like that there is no digital display in the tank so there are no annoying lights. I like that the quartz glass is supposed to be shatterproof. I do not want to clean up broken glass in an aquarium.What I don’t like, the color. If this thing were all black it would be an easy 5 stars for me, but that orange ring is always glaring at me. It’s nice the controller is outside of the tank, but it’s closer to the outlet than the tank. This is a little inconvenient on placement. It would be nice to keep the controller conveniently just outside the tank.In all a great product that gets the job done, but it is not without some flaws.

Cheap plastic heater made by a Chinese nobody company that sums it up. When I grab it it creaks in the center and there’s holes to trap your fish really bad product.

This little heater does a great job. It certainly can heat up an aquarium - and not take much power doing it, but my primary use case was similar though without the aquarium. Since water holds its temperature better than air, this heater was used to eat water and circulate it inside a small greenhouse - a maximum of 200w to heat the greenhouse and keep it warm at night instead of heater attempting to warm the air. It worked well overall - so if your goal is to heat water and do it inexpensively (both for the heater and overall cost of power), this is certainly worth it. Recommended!
