Whoever invented this should be knighted for services to parents!!
This is a wonderfully imaginative and beautifully created series for pre-school children. This is the only programme that settles my one year old and keeps his attention for ages- NOTHING else works!! He absolutely loves this series and claps his hands whenever it comes on. I particularly like the part of the DVD where everybody "says goodnight" and its a very good, calming way of getting your child to chill out and unwind to bedtime. Even when in the midst of a screaming tantrum, this dvd turns my child from screaming banshee to mild mannered cutie (its a miracle!!). I'm so happy that they released it on dvd and there are now 3 series of which we have all of them. Its delightfully surreal, wonderfuly calming and I just love the fact that classically trained actor derek Jacobi sings "my name is iggle piggle, iggle piggle, iggle piggle wooo- etc"- utterly brilliant!

In the Night Garden - Who's Here - DVD
Everyone I know with young children has been waiting for this DVD to hit the market! In The Night Garden is a huge hit so anyone wanting this DVD should order it now to avoid a long wait. I can't keep my 19 month old daughter away from the television when it comes on. The characters are wonderful. I'm sure the makers of this series created the sound effects for adults too so parents have something to keep them amused when watching it with their children!

l don't know how they came up with the idea but it is brilliant. I can't recommend it enough for any young ...
Got this for my toddler grandson who is very resistive to going to sleep at bedtime. lt is absolute magic and works a treat. l found it strange to watch at first but when you get used to it there is something very endearing about it. l don't know how they came up with the idea but it is brilliant. I can't recommend it enough for any young children but especially those who have difficulty settling at bedtime.

in the night garden who's here? DVD
a colourful gentle calm type of DVD for toddlers to watch, grandson age 2 years chooses it but as it goes on a long time loses interest. So have not really seen complete DVD yet. For in the night garden fans buy it.

Excellent for nighttime routine when away from home
My son loved watching this before going to bed and I bought this for when we were staying away from home to enable us to follow the usual routine. There aren't that many episodes on the dvd but he did not seem to mind and it was more for setting the night-time scene rather than firm viewing. I would highly recommend it.

Two and half hours entertainment.
This DVD was purchased to provide entertainment for our 18 month old granddaughter on her frequent visits to us.She loves the characters and dances along with them. An excellent purchase as far as we are concerned, and a really suitable DVD for her age group.

Great DVD, but NOT NTSC
This is a great DVD for the kids to watch, our 1-year-old son is glued to it for a whole episode. Unfortunately, contrary to the statement, it is not NTSC (which implies USA region 1) but PAL (region 2). It's okay if you have a multi-region dvd player, but completely useless otherwise :(

Captivant
Excellent pour les tous petits, notamment pour les sensibiliser à la langue anglaise. Dans le même esprit que les Teletubbies, mais plus riche et plus original. Ma fille est totalement sous le charme des petits personnages, c'est très drôle à voir!

Uncomplicated entertainment for all
Our children aged 3 years and 1.5 years ADORE the In the Night Garden Series from BBC. When CBeeBees changed the viewing time from late evening (i.e. bedtime) to mid-morning, we decided to get a DVD to continue our bedtime ritual of watching Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka, the Tombliboos and Pontipines before bedtime story. It has been worth every Euro! The storylines are simple. The children are (most likely) captivated by the bright colours, the rhymes relate to the children (even our 18 month old dances like Makka Pakka and follows the movements of the Tombliboos), the names are obviously easy for the target audience (ages 1-4 years) and the whole concept of putting the toys (that is what the characters of In the Night Garden really are) in bed gives our children a time to calm down. As adults and parents, we have to admit that we too have come to enjoy and adore Igglepiggle and Friends! The songs and rhymes are repeated in every story. We highly recommend the DVD if your child loves music and colourful toys prancing around the garden! If you need more background info on the series go to the web-page [...]PS: Only one warning though - you might want to get earplugs when Upsy Daisy starts to sing though....which thankfully she does NOT do in this DVD!!!!

die Britische Art der teletubbies
Es sind zwar schon fünf Jahre vergangen aber meine Kinder lieben diese Bild-Erzählungen von Upsy Daisy, Igglepiggle, Makka Pakka, the Tombliboos, the Pontipines and the Haahoos einfach Genial.

not as advertised
I bought this video for my 19 month old grandaughter who loves "In the Night Garden." She can tell you every character and what they do. She was so excited to have her very own "Makka Pakka" video (her favorite character). But when we sat her down and loaded the video - guess what? Couldn't play on our dvd player. It was not formatted for USA players, as I had believed. So it is useless to us and a great disappointment.
