Works well as is in SGPC K39 case on Ryzen 5500. Even better with fan upgrade.
I'm impressed with this cooler. Keeps my Ryzen 5 5500 nice and cool. Not that they 5500 uses much power to begin with, but under full load in a small form factor pc, the highest temp I saw way 72 C, which is really not bad in my book. I upgraded to a Noctua NF-A9 PWM and haven't seen the temps get above the low 60s. Very happy with it. Fits perfect inside my SGPC K39 case even with the full 25mm thick fan.

Decent heatsink for a cramp PC case and low to midrange CPU.
It does what I need it to do. I paired this up with a Ryzen 5700g in an old, very cramp itx case. I upgraded the guts of it from an old AMD A8 with a Zalman CNPS80f to what I mentioned. Space between processor to DVD player leaves very little room for even low profile heatsinks to breath. Anyway, for how small it is, it does the job well. It does prevent the processor from throttling when running at full load. Though you will hear it at that point. The PC is used as my HTPC in my semi truck through the years. This heatsink does it's job well. And the Ryzen 5700g is the highest I could use for that heatsink. That, and overkill for an HTPC setup. I did try playing games like Cities Skylines 2, and the heatsink keeps it from throttling. And this is with little space between fan and DVD player. But despite this, it still will be around 80c and fans blaring. So....if wanting this heatsink for gaming...get a case with a bit more space and the larger version of this heatsink....or what ever that is bigger than this. This will do the job if just watching movies, streams, and many tabs in browser open.

It's okay
Does it work? Yes. Is it quiet? Seems alright to my ears. The biggest issue is that it's such a pain to install on an 115X board. Having to install it while holding the board is just silly. I guess I enjoy a heatsink that doesn't require you to remove the fan to screw it down, but its not worth the struggle. They include what seems to be sticky pads to hold the back plate to the board, but the stickiness peals off with the protective film! And it's entirely useless as you need to use the nuts to tighten it. They should have threaded the backplate! just a lazy design.. Not to mention you can easily over tighten this and break your board. Poor instructions too. If you're new to PC building I would avoid this thing.

It *DOES* work with AM5...kinda (VIDEO HOW TO INSTALL AM5)
If you are like me you have been reading the reviews and are uncertain if this works with AM5 or not...well it does mostly. The instructions were terrible but it did fit after some guesswork. The video I posted shows how I did it (you do not have to remove the motherboard backplate) After it was installed though it works as described. Keeps my 7600 under max temp even overclocked on full load. Is definitely loud so you may need to adjust fan curves, but the small size footprint is great for my needs! Only remove a start because of the confusion instruction!

Work with ASRock DeskMini X300M mini PC and very quiet
Replaced the original CPU cooler from ASRock DeskMini X300M and this low profile Thermalright version works well and very quiet so far. Easy to install with the tutorial video on the item page. Tips to install in narrow space, such as in ASRock X300M - adjust fan position gently to leave 2 - 3 mm gap to RAM or other motherboard components.

Ultra slim fan & heatsink
I needed a super slim fan & heating with good cooling for a PICO compact build. 36mm height allowed it to fit inside the case perfectly. I'm not planning to need more than what a stock cooler would handle, and this keeps temperature similar to stock.

Flimsy Backplate is the Point of Failure
This would be a great cooler were it not for the flimsy backplate. Even when tightening the mounting screws carefully by hand, taking care not to over-tighten the screws, the flimsy mounting backplate will bend since it's just too thin. Also, the insulation on the backplate is too thin, looks almost like cellophane. I wouldn't recommend this cooler unless Thermaltake improves the backplate.
