Hi. I use a base colour (about an inch) and my selected colour to match my hair. The best for my self

Does this hair dye need developer?

Yes it does, preferably 6% 20 vol. Schwarzkopf do a Royal Igora oil developer, that I mixed with mine. It's very gentle on the hair. It's also a 1:1 so it's easier to measure out. For example 30ml of developer and 30mls of the dye. I've been using this on my roots for years. Absolutely love Royal igora. Also this brown has a red undertone, it's a rich, warm colour. Hope this helps!
