What are the KERDI-SHOWER and KERDI-BOARD prefabricated substrates made of? Can they really support the tile assembly?

The KERDI-SHOWER and KERDI-BOARD substrates are lightweight, stable bases made from high-strength EPS foam and integrate with the Schluter-Shower System. They support typical shower loads like glass doors or walls after tiling and grouting.

What is the largest size hole I can cut in the subfloor for the drain?

The maximum would have a 5” diameter. A template is included in the drain kit box to guide the application.
