We use a lot of powders in our kitchen, cinnamon, amla, ginger, and a handful of others in regular rotation. This little shaker is designed for that kind of versatility and has worked so well for us that we're back to buy a couple more. My wife and I both keep reaching for this one over other containers we've tried, mostly because of the lid. That translucent cap snaps on securely and keeps whatever's inside from clumping up or pulling in moisture from the air. That really matters with something like ginger powder that turns to a solid brick the second it's exposed to any humidity. Ours have stayed loose and pourable long after other containers would have let them go stale or clumpy. The stainless-steel body has a good weight and feels solid enough in hand. It hasn't shown any rust or pitting after regular use. The fine mesh top does exactly what it's meant to, distributing powder evenly rather than dumping out in uneven clumps the way some shakers do when you tip them. Whether it's a dusting of cinnamon over oatmeal or a fine layer of amla into a smoothie, the hole size keeps things controlled and even. Cleaning has never been an issue either. A rinse under water and a quick wipe down gets it looking new again, and the polished surface doesn't hold onto stains or residue the way some materials do over time. We don't run these through the dishwasher, following the maker's own guidance, but hand washing takes no real effort. This is working well for my purposes. The hole size is great and it seems to be good quality. I got this to put rice flour in for making sourdough. The lid functions fine so far and it is versatile. You could put salt or other seasonings in if you wished. For my purposes it works very well.

I absolutely love the shaker container and I have quite a few. I use these for chicken, bouillon powder and beef bouillon powder regularly so I like to have these pretty containers so they can sit out and look nice. I use chicken bouillon for not only making chicken soup, but it’s a regular seasoning that I use for steaks, popcorn, vegetables, or anything else to add a kick of flavor. These containers make that really handy. They’re also great for powdered sugar or anything else that you use on a regular basis that you need a shaker for. Good quality. The only thing I find is that these are a bit small but it’s nice that they fit in the cabinet well also. I would highly recommend this purchase to anyone who needs a shaker for any seasoning that you have. It also comes with a lid, which is really great because it keeps your seasoning loose instead of getting caked inside the container.

Overall this is a solid powdered sugar shaker and the design is pretty good. It dispenses powder evenly as long as you shake it gently and carefully. The main downside is that powder tends to collect in the cap after you use it. When you put the plastic lid back on, some of the powder can get into the lid and make things a little messy. It’s not a huge issue, but something to be aware of. You also need to use a light hand to get an even dusting. If you shake too enthusiastically it can release more powder than you intended. For full transparency, I actually bought this to experiment with applying dry shampoo powder. I can’t really judge it for that purpose since that’s not what it’s designed for, but it did help me see how the shaker works. For powdered sugar on baked goods, I think it would do the job well. Overall it’s a useful little kitchen tool with a decent design, just expect a small amount of powder buildup in the lid.

The stainless steel quality is very good and after many months of usage there is no sign of rusting. The flour comes out evenly from the mesh. The only problem I face is opening the lid when I need to refill it - it gets jammed. A screw top lid would have been much easier to open.
