It works, easy to use and does its job...get rid of mice for you
You cannot go wrong with it.It did its job within 2 days of its arrival. It may look small but it is big enough kill a rat as well (not a very big one though) and mouse very easily. And as it says - yes, its easy to clean (no blood or anything grossness). In my case - I have 4-5 mouse repellent devices in my small house yet none of them deterred mice I had. It was this traditional method which worked. However, after 1st kill...no other mice went in it though I know they are here. I dont know why but I have cleaned it well after 1st kill. But I can easily recommend it.It has two LED lights: 1st one on device itself which keeps giving you signal by RED flashing light that its on and waiting to do its job. It flashes green light along with a beep sound when it has been successful.2nd LED light is based out of a cable connector which flashes purple only when it has been successful. This feature is useful when you have to put this trap somewhere out of sight then you can leave this cable out for you to see if it has been successful.Only improvement feedback - its power cable could have been longer. Right now its just 1 meter (or little longer than that).

Waste of time – Just get a traditional spring trap
I had a problem with a rat moving into the garage. I didn’t want it nesting, so I thought I’d deal with it as quickly and humanely as possible. Although expensive, this electronic trap seemed to be the answer. When it arrived, the trap didn’t appear to work at all. I assembled it, plugged it in and nothing happened. The trap has a warning light that should tell you that it’s set, but that didn’t come on. I tested the power supply, but there was no indication the trap was working and no way of testing it – apart from maybe sticking my hand in it to see if I got electrocuted.I checked the instructions but they were absolute nonsense. There’s no helpline or website for troubleshooting or customer support. The company website only collects your email address, and nothing else: there’s no useful information or contact details.Smelling a rat, I returned the trap and Amazon refunded the money.Of course, the issue could have been as easy to fix as a broken light bulb. If I could have spoken to someone or found some useful product support, I would have solved it. But the total lack of help left me frustrated and – by the way – I still had a rat living in my garage. In the end, I bought a traditional trap for £3 which did the job first try.

Worked well - for a while
Worked well and caught a number of rats until last kill. Device now comes on and then a permanent red light comes on. Cleaned it out carefully and replaced batteries but no change. This condition is not mentioned in the manual. Spoke to Karlesten and only solution seems to be to return to Amazon for a credit and Karlsten have none in stock.

Ok for mice, not rats
This doesn't really work for rats. It has killed mice, but probably doesn't have enough zap for rats. I baited with standard poison bait and peanut butter, the bait is taken, the trap triggers but no rat kill. I have used both battery and external power mode. So , ok if you have mice, but not rats.

Delete the rodent in your domicile.
Karlsten appear to be on the ball with customer service, they wrote to me and asked if the device met my needs, it does. In the space of 15 days it electrocuted 3 mice, it bleeps after a time to let you know there's a dead'un in there. the bait suggested was peanut butter, well, it worked. It is not a panacea, I use it in conjunction with poison and other traps and so far they are about even. My wife was a bit squeamish about it until the little buggers started to crap all over her artwork, they chewed my model ship blueprints, at £5 pound a time they are on they not cheap to replace. Not to mention they chomp yer food if left out, and crap on that as well. If you want to clobber chomping craping rodents this is the business. Make sure you position it so the mice don't think they are being watched, face the entrance away from view. Good luck.

Brilliant and useful features...Yes on a trap!
I already have two electric traps of a different make but have to say this unit is far better. It's much easier to fit the batteries, can be plugged into the mains, has an LED on a long lead that flashes and a buzzer that sounds when the trap is activated. Very useful if it's in the loft or in a garage. It's really simple to use and has a 'well' to put the bait in which prevents it being stolen by the little critters without being caught. My record collection should now be safe. Goodbye Gliss Gliss!! One last point which is important. Because the unit separates its very easy to keep clean. Many other makes don't do this and as a result can short circuit and removing the cause is very difficult. Yes this is such a good product, I've ordered another. This is a genuine, none free product review!

Simple, Clean, Effective Means Of Killing Mice
The trap does work when mice enter, the two I purchased have killed every time. What I like is the ease of disposal. When it has killed a mouse the led light flashes green and emits an alarm. Turn off and disconnect the power cable, tip dead rodent into a plastic bag and voila! You won’t even see the dead mouse if you don’t want to. The key is the handling and placement of the trap. Whenever handling use rubber gloves as human scent puts the mice off from entering, and bait using a cotton bud. A large dollop of peanut butter does the trick. Place along skirting boards, in areas mice have been seen. It’s important to clean the trap with hot, soapy water after every kill otherwise mice will not enter as the scent of the previous victim will deter them from entering. I haven’t had mice in my flat for a while now but i’m confident that if/when they return they’ll meet their demise via this useful and effective method.
