Alto Saxophone Reeds for Alto Sax Strength 2.5; Box of 10

I bought these reeds for my son’s alto saxophone, and they’ve been excellent. The quality is consistent from reed to reed — they play smoothly and produce a nice, clear tone. He’s in 7th grade band and practices daily, and these have held up really well without chipping or wearing out too quickly.They’re also packaged nicely, which keeps them protected and easy to grab when he needs a new one.Overall: Great value for the price and perfect for student musicians. I bought these pieces of wood after I tried shaving down a tree in my forest to match failed. (Not really, no)I like these pieces of wood because they fit into my saxophone no problem. The piece of wood had accurate absorption quality’s. I tested the wood pieces under water temporarily and also soaked the wood as well. To my surprise the wood held strong. This wood works great when stored at room temperature.This wood also fits my alto saxophone and leaves no sappy residue. I'm primarily a tenor and bari player, but had an alto gig come up and I was out of reeds. I didn't want to spend too much for a one-off so I decided to try something cheap just for kicks. I was pleasantly surprised with these! I used a reed knife to flatten the back as I do with all reeds, but that's normal practice. I highly recommend these for the occasional alto player.

For reeds, it is normal to have one or two pieces in the package that can not be played. Maybe I was lucky, as there are no failures in the package.They just seem to work best compared to the others I've tried. Strength wasn't too hard either. As long as you are not too picky I think this reed is worth recommending.
