Beautiful, handcrafted Turkish lamp
I'm very pleased with the quality and packaging of this lamp. My multicolor lamp, snagged on an awesome 20% off lightning discount, arrived intact and smelled of spices as I unwrapped it, transporting me back to Istanbul. There are no included bulbs, so I found some cheap daylight color (my usual favorite) E12 rounded LED bulbs. As another reviewer mentioned, the 60w equivalent (6w) bulbs are a bit bright (at least for my taste), but it works for now. I can either try 25w equivalent LED E12s, or 40w equivalent. Or maybe I'll put it on a Meross smart dimmer plug. Meross smart plugs work fairly well (e.g., integrated with Alexa smart home routines), but I don't have any dimmers yet, and this lamp would be ideal for that. That's an easy remedy. Also, I think I don't prefer the daylight color in the lamp. Normally I'm loathe to grab anything in that yellowish "soft white" that everyone seems so gagoo over, but it may be best for this lamp, especially in a bedroom. I may try the "bright white" neutral tone also. The daylight feels a bit too cool, which normally I like. I may even go old school incandescent. We'll see. The build is fairly sturdy and was simple to snap together and take apart, although the spring clips tend to slam open, so be careful. Only one tiny bead shook loose from the globe somehow (I wasn't overly gentle unwrapping it), but it's unnoticeable and repairable if I really care to do so. Trouble is, I can't even find where the small bead came unmoored from. Oh well. Another easy remedy for another day. I ordered two of those horse head looking swag hooks, but two perfectly adequate hooks came with the lamp. They had no trouble hand screwing through the ceiling popcorn and they're currently supporting the globe and chain nicely. I will note that if you keep the lamp in a dark room like me, you may not be able to appreciate the lamp's vibrant colors unless it's switched on. Also, if it's away from a wall, you may not be able to notice the distinct projected color splashes (as in the stock photo), as distance gives the light time to blend together. Your mileage may vary. I like my lamp exactly where it is. Really helps brighten my ambience in my mood space. I may pick up a DEMMEX table lamp in the same rainbow road pattern. If possible, it would be great to put this near a window where it can catch and scatter daylight during the day, and where it will serve as a warm and welcoming beacon for your home. Either that or a major award like a statue of a leg. Yeah. A statue.

I'm smitten
I absolutely adore this lamp as the perfect accent to my reading/cat/sun nook. I've had it just over a week and I've read four books that I probably wouldn't have otherwise - I'm just so cozy in the glow. (One of the books was rubbish, too. But I still finished it lol.) Received within two days, install was simple as. It is in fact very petite - be sure you've checked out its dimensions. Very well packaged, and everything fit together very simply and snugly. And it's perfectly gorgeous. Someone put some love into this bad boy - every tile and bead are dead on. The metal bits are well made and secure, the dangle charm is smooth and the same on both sides, and the chain does wonders for making the cord look better. But, it is *not* a reading lamp. I did find a proper E12 chandelier bulb for it immediately, which gave it a nice glow - about what you'd expect from an ambitious nightlight. But while grocery shopping, I happened to see a 40w Edison bulb on clearance and thought to myself, hmm, that looks like the same size base. So I took the chance and voila, it fit. And was dazzling. Now I've got the light kaleidoscoping shimmer on the walls and a beautiful warm glow that's perfect for dozing off with a kitty on my chest. I guess using a different bulb probably isn't advised but I've had it on nonstop for 9 days, with no ill effects - the glass is barely warm to the touch. It might burn out a bit more quickly, but as much as I love it, if it lasts even a year I'll try to buy another one.

Beautiful lamp but...
This lamp is just beautiful! The first two pictures are of the lamp with a nightlight bulb the rest are with the type of bulb the lamp called for. It was very well packed and came in pristine condition. It has two loops for the two hooks (included) to hang the lamp. Everything about it says it should be a five star product. Seriously. My big hang up is the tension in the springs for the clamps to hold the caps on. It's tight! I know it needs to be tight but it's like mousetrap snap your finger tight. How do I know? I've been snapped by a mousetrap and this lamp snapped me to. They felt about the same. I got worried thinking about having to change the bulbs out. the the neck is very narrow and with such a strong spring holding the inside clamps, taking the caps off to change the bulb (which calls for a narrow base chandelier type bulb) now presents a challenge! So I have the correct bulb in and after a few days we decided we wanted more of a night light effect instead of a lamp type light since we have it hanging directly over our bed. So I go to change out the bulb and sure enough I shared the bulb. Before I can wiggle my fingers in to hold the spring loaded clamp it popped the cap out and shattered the bulb! So beware! I recommend STRONGLY using a plastic LED bulb in this lamp. I'm not in any way saying don't get it either. It's beautiful and I love it. Just know ahead of purchasing what you're getting. If you have motor control issues or arthritis this might be a difficult lamp to put together on your own. Managing those spring clamps is like working a thighmaster for your fingers. However once done is fantastic. the cord is a great length. The toggle switch is super easy to push. it's not one of the turn dial ones that tend to get sticky. So lots of pluses just one big issue with the tension in the spring clamps. Forewarned is forearmed! Happy shopping and sorry for the typos.
