I have struggled with keeping my super long, heavy hair up in a bun without having to redo it several times a day as I work 12+ hour days. I had been buying expensive ballerina square topped, long hairpins that worked well but I would end up losing at least one a day and they were $1 each. OMG these are just what I’ve been needing!! You screw them into your bun (I use 3 or 4) and it holds all day. To get them out so you don’t end up with a tangled mess, this is important - you find the closed end and unscrew the opposite direction from when putting them in and they easily come right out. I haven’t yet had problems with tarnish or rust, but I’m sure they will eventually. You get so many for this price that’s not a problem for me. If they tarnish, rust or start to snag my hair I’ll just throw those away. Plus they do not fall out so I’m not loosing any that way either. The color doesn’t match my hair but they get buried enough into your hair it really doesn’t matter. I don’t have any other brand to compare with - it sounds like Goody has good ones as I read reviews here, but with these you get so many for just a few $ more. I feel like I have a lifetime supply with 20 of these even as I pitch the ones that start to wear out or degrade. So happy I discovered these!!

Love this product... I had a bunch of these before I lost them all in a housefire. Attempting to purchase these in our local stores was futile. It seems noone sells them any longer. I was thrilled to find them at Amazon., and am wearing some right now as I type this with my long hair in a bun. They are extreemly easy to use, don't get tangled in your hair and great for holding power if you have thick bulky hair long hair yet want to pull it up in a bun without it dragging down to the nape of your neck. These particular pins are a good grade of shiny metal also.... very attractive yet strong.

I swear by spiral hair pins. I have very long hair and like the convenience of putting it up from time to time. Elastics and ponytail holders are not an option. They break my hair and pull tight causing the inevitable headache. I use hair sticks a lot and love those. But, sometimes I like a neat style with no bands, sticks, or pins showing. The spiral pin is perfect. Its a simple design and very easy to use. I get no headache and there is no pain on my head where I place the pins. The style is neat and secure. Unlike hair sticks, I never have to worry about my style loosening and/or falling out. I like the large qty of pins in my order.....i tend to misplace them. There were enough that I was able to give some to a friend who is now in love with the functionality of the pins. They solved her headache problem as well. Create your style and simply spin into style making sure to spin into hair closest to your head at the same time to create a secure hold. Practice makes perfect.

I have very long, down to my hips, thick hair. I bought these and they work well, and I really enjoy using them and need to do so more. However, I've used them twice now and both times 1 has broken on me. I'm not sure why it happened but the top joint just broke off and rendered the tie useless. If it continues to happen: I'll update hoping it was a fluke update 11/20/24- I've broken at least half, some by having them just in my hair, I guess I just have too strong of hair but it's disappointing.

I had never tried spiral pins before, and I'm very glad I did! These are a godsend for my extremely thick hair. I use four of them, and they will hold a bun for hours with no problem. Such a big improvement over my old bobby pins. The pins are quite sturdy and good quality. I have only used them a few times, but I'm not worried that they are going to bend or fall apart. Another good feature is that the rounded tips on the ends of the pins are a part of the metal, so they can't fall off like what happens with some other pins. It can be a little difficult to get a grip on the pin to twist it out when you want to take your hair down, but I don't know how you could change that without making the pin very visible. It's only a small annoyance anyway. If you have very thin hair/small bun, these might be too long for you. Like I said, my hair is very thick and these hold my bun great. So they might not be the best for smaller buns. But I love them!

They work really well and are easy to use. The problem was that 6 of the 20 broke the first time I tried to use them. They were bent instead of round on the turn-back loop and that became a weak spot. Very disappointing. Hopefully the remaining 14 will last a bit longer. I will look for a similar product because it holds really well.

I'm obsessed with these little pins! I've been considering a more expensive brand (smaller pack) and was thrilled to find these but a little hesitant to buy based on the reviews. Well, I'm so glad I made the purchase! I have curly hair, past my shoulders, and I'm able to put it all up with one of these in a bun or put it partially up for a cute, quick hair style. I really love that these aren't harsh and don't hurt my head- I have chronic migraines and I'm always looking for something to get my hair out of my way without sticking a million bobby pins in or using an uncomfortable clip. Love love love these and highly recommend. I've already been introducing my friends to them! They also hide pretty easily in my hair but even when/if they do show I like that they are gold since they look pretty and match the jewelry I wear.

Most women I talk to have NEVER seen these before and after trying love them. They do not slide out of your hair like other pins. It uses less Pins because you don't need as many.

Good value even with about 1/3 being thrown away as the poor finish makes them catch hairs on removal
