very good appearance and weight. twist mechanism works well. real .308 shells that do tarnish so if you want it to stay pretty, get some brasso. i'm very impressed by how well this pen looks and writes.

Great looking pen once fixed. Real .308 casings used and well thought out idea for enthusiasts. Dinged it down for having to fix the pen upon opening it. Glad I did and not just give it directly as a gift. Problem is the fitment of the copper plug that holds on the pen clip. The thread tolerance is not snug or the plug long enough to fit securely into the threaded insert placed inside the shell casing.

The pen itself is great. Nice weight. Comfortable. Stylish. The ink cartridge, however, leaves something to be desired. It doesn't like certain types of paper and I find that I have to keep a cheap disposable ball point pen around to write when my "good" pen won't. Were it not for that, I'd give it 5 stars.

I was kind of skeptical about this one at first; I'd seen some that claimed to be made from shell casings, but clearly were not. However, I have to say was pleasantly surprised by this pen. I got it for a friend who is a gun, and he absolutely loved it. You can tell it was made of actual spent casings. The pen is well made, nice and weighty and comes in a felt bag. I recommend it!

Would have rated higher however I only received the velvet bag that comes with or without the pen. The bag was very nice but I think $20 was a bit much for it.

Quick delivery. Good pen, writes well and is a unique talking point working within the Ammunition industry. Makes a good gift for Military / Vetren friends and colleagues.
