Very good Erhu!
Worth the price. I had found it for sale elsewhere for much more money. Good hardwood, well built, attractive piece of snakeskin on the head. I later upgraded to a better bow.

Definitely a beginner instrument
For the price, this is a great starter! You get everything you need, including extra strings! The first two D string I got both snapped when I was trying to string it first time! BUT the seller sent me new ones, so that was nice of them. Oh, for context I'm not new to music at all. I played violin as a child, piano, voice, melodica, etc. But I am new to erhu. It's easier on my shoulders(permanent injury, no longer able to play violin) and takes up less space than piano. The Erhu itself is well made. The tuning pegs need extra friction to keep from popping out of tune. I used chalk to great effect. The bow hair is on the cheaper end, it has frayed in a few places after about 3.5 hours(not all at once) of practice. But only a little, so it isn't super bad considering what was paid. The plastic that connects the bow heel with the bow hair is kinda a pain to connect. But it does mean that it's fairly sturdy. Let me tell you, stringing the thing WAS SUCH A PAIN!!!! I had NEVER had so much trouble stringing an instrument! And I've been sliced all sorts of ways by guitars and piano wire! Also, I can't figure out the microtuners to save my life. And I had to look up how to tie the Qianjin since it was all sorts unraveled. That was also kinda a pain, but only the first time around. I just use the rest of the qianjin string to make a microtuner, sort of. The rosin is kinda cheap feeling. You really have to cake it on like frosting to get a consistent sound. Use a fine sandpaper or nail file for best effect. The sound it produces is... well, fine. Since I'm still new, it's expected to not sound great. But I do notice improvement in tone as I go. So the instrument most likely has a good tone for the price. Overall, for about $350 it is very worth it for a beginner who is beginning to develop good habits, and learn about tone color. I would not advice it for more experienced players looking for the highest quality. Sorry that English isn't my first language.

Very nice first erhu
Hi I got this to start learning since I always been interested in Erhu playing and I play violin. I love the quality and the sound of this instruments. The art in the instruments is also pretty. I recommend it if you want to start playing with something that from the beginning has a better sound that a cheaper Erhu

Expensive Erhu with low quality Bow.
Disappointed with the “hard case” because it’s made of fabric with foam, which isn’t hard. It is also kind of dirty as if it’s used because there’s no additional padding or any protection of the case of the package - simply placed within a wore-out amazon box. The bow is low quality and not even straight. Two broken horsehair on the bow. The erhu itself is nice. The sound is great. One of the string was rusty however.. Overall it’s a decent erhu itself set aside accessories. Thr price doesn’t match up its quality n my opinion however.

Can't cheat a former professional player
Pretty satisfied. I was afraid of getting something really mediocre... but it turn out to be a high quality one. I've been playing Erhu for more than two decades, but didn't bring it to the US. Glad that I can now continue with my practice. Only one question, can you show me how to apply the fine tuners to the string? I was a bit confused. Thank you!
