DANGEROUS -- this collar is now shocking without any pressing of the buttons on the remote. It's never touched water and has been used for only a few hours at a time. It's too late for me to return this to amazon but I will be contacting the company about this. DO NOT BUY -- I've used other E Collars and have not had this problem.Before noticing this issue, I really liked the features of this collar (the beep and vibrate mode, the quality feel of the collar material, and the ease of use. None of that is worth hurting my dog or her developing a bad association with an important training tool.

Lost the remote...Found it a week later in a mud puddle...recharged overnight and works like new! Could use longer range of use.

I was excited to get this as I have borrowed similar collars for trial use on my dog, and felt he would respond well to the level of training (sighthound traits, difficult to break attention on other animals). Fit and use were easy and I had excellent response one our first walk. 6 hours later after otherwise normal indoor use, the rubber collar ripped and fell off my dog when he was simply getting up from lying down. Will be returning and unsure if worth trying again in case this was a lemon item....

maximum range is about 40 - 50 yards NOT 450 as advertised. I don't think mine's broken as i've had about 3 different shock collars from different companies and they all advertised 400+ yards, and they all had an actual proximity of about 40 to 50 yards. other than that this is my favorite shock collar. the dial is a better design than a button, it won't accidentally turn on and shock your dog while the remote is in your pocket like other collars. also it's easier to switch between 9 different levels of shock than 100 like other remotes have.

It came with two collars luckily because the first one broke the first day.

We received this item yesterday afternoon. Placed it on our Golden's neck this morning, and within 2 hours, the blue plastic strap that connects to the charger unit around her neck snapped off. Piece of junk. It's funny, it's very sticky, like it possibly had been glued or something prior to us receiving it. Not pleased at all! There is a nylon strap included...but when you pay a somewhat decent amount for a product, you don't expect it to break within 2 hours! Not pleased at all!

If I buy something I expect the item to be working when delivered. Why do I have to charge the battery on the transmitter? The battery should be charged and working upon delivery. I would not buy this product again for that simple reason.KOLA
