Works splendidly.Concerns?I was slightly concerned about the comments regarding Windows 10 compatibility, but couldn't myself see why it wouldn't be. Sure enough, I powered down, opened the side panel, connected the adapter card to my PCIe slot, hooked up the antenna, closed up, powered back on, and it worked, just like that. No manual driver installs necessary since I have an ethernet connection as well - Windows 10 did it automatically.The product does come with a disk for driver installation if need be. I would always recommend having a wired connection anyway, even if you want the benefits of wireless for convenience such as working with a printer which can only be connected to one type of network at a time. Wired is more secure, more stable, faster, and ideal for troubleshooting.How good is it? 5 stars.I have a modem/router downstairs by the TV (my uncle did it while I was away which is why it isn't upstairs where it'd have been more convenient!). I also have a second router in my upstairs office to service my devices there, including my PC. The issue was my TV needed to be on the same subnet as my PC to communicate, and the wireless signal of my router is apparently too weak to reach, but my phone has no problem using the modem's broadcast from upstairs, indicating it is stronger. So my solution had to be installing a wireless card on my PC so it could connect to the modem via wireless. This adapter enabled that; the signal to my PC is picked up strong, and there is no noticeable delay in streaming content from my PC to my TV. Obviously there is a slight delay in button presses, but once the stream is started, you don't notice. Perfect.As a bonus, it has bluetooth.(For techy people: no my issue was not to do with conflicting wireless broadcasts; I tested the signal strength months ago, disabling one and enabling the other, and the modem's 2.4GHz was better, so I turned off the modem's 5GHz and my router's 2.4GHz, and turned on my router's 5GHz so I had the wireless option on both routers for troubleshooting and any other purpose that might appear. My router's 5GHz was insufficient to connect the TV downstairs on the modem subnet, to the PC upstairs on the 2nd router subnet.)

I had previously bought a cheap £10 wireless usb adapter which failed me badly and kept disconnecting.I have a desktop in my home and a 350mbs internet connection. The router is in the attic so I could not connect to it via a wire so I had to look for a wireless solution. I bought this adapter and I've been happy ever since. I get speeds up to 370-380mb/s when the network is not very busy, it has bluetooth as well which is quite good if you want to connect bluetooth devices, or if for example you want to transfer a phono betwen your phone and your computer. It's fast, reliable, and easy to install, and the antena is quite cute !

It's as simple as slotting the card into one of your PC's PCI ports and connecting the motherboard USB cable (comes with this item). I booted up my computer and it recognised it straight away. Not sure if that's testament to my PC, Windows 10 or this product but either way, it was a breeze to start using. My internet connection is very very good now but I have no benchmark to compare against seeing as though I have just upgraded my router and my PC didn't have a wifi card before I added this one.Just in case this sways anyone, I was using a wall power ethernet socket before I bought this (the wall power ethernet socket connects to your router through your power socket and electric wiring in your household). I guess my wiring in my house can't be very good because I was getting around 30mb/s download speed with roughly 30 ping before and now it's shot up to 100mb/s download speed with 20 ping.

Before beginning the review I want to confirm that I'm using Windows 10 64 bit. I bought the Asus PC-AC55BT network adapter as it was a good price and enabled Bluetooth connectivity. Installation was easy and as described in the instruction manual. I got this device working within minutes. Once installed internet speed was comparable to what I'd get from a wired (Ethernet) connection and Bluetooth worked perfectly and synced to my phone quickly.A little unsure if the packaged drivers are actually the correct ones for the device but they did work. I say this as the device appears as an Intel 7260 adapter in 'device manager' and accordingly Asus provide Intel PROset drivers. If you look on the Intel support webpage for the 7260 adapter you'll find that the 7260 isn't technically supported by the latest drivers.The reason why I give 4 stars is because I had a technical issue where the computer wouldn't shutdown; rather it would restart and I'd need to hold the power button for a few seconds to shutdown my computer. Once I'd removed the network adapter this fixed the issue. Therefore, overall the device worked great with strong wifi and Bluetooth connectivity but you may need to do some research and change settings to get this device to work properly.

Easy to install if you're comfortable with computers, but it was not plug and play for me personally using Windows 10 64 bit Professional. I had to download drivers from the Asus website and then restart the machine once or twice.WiFi reception is generally good, although I noticed that the Bluetooth reception was slightly weak. If you can find a Bluetooth 4.2 or even a Bluetooth 5 network card I would recommend the upgrade if this matters to you.I was disappointed by the antenna, which feel extremely flimsy for a network card listed with a RRP of £48. The antenna is entirely plastic without any magnets, and feels very light which means you may want to use tape or blu tack to stick it to your desk.

The card is super easy to install and no additional drivers are required in Windows 10. The external antenna provides a strong signal. The Bluetooth enables connecting additional devices to the desktop and is bliss for motherboards that don't have Bluetooth in-built.

Produit conforme à la description et aux photos.Une très bonne carte Wifi, qui dès le déballage inspire confiance de par la qualité de ses composants.La mise en place est on ne peux plus simple, attention toutefois à bien disposer d'un port USB libre sur la carte mère, afin d'alimenter le module Bluetooth.L'installation sous Windows 10 se fait avec le CD fournis et ne pose aucuns problèmes, La mise à jour des drivers n'est pas une obligation pour son bon fonctionnement.Sur mon PC les vitesses de communication de la carte sont très proches de celles annoncées. Ce qui permet de tirer le meilleur parti de la Fibre via le Wifi.Le Bluetooth fonctionne parfaitement bien avec une très bonne portée, je n'ai jusqu'à présent rencontré aucuns problèmes de compatibilité ou de conflit.L'antenne déportée est un vrai plus, qui permet une bonne réception / émission du signal Wifi et qui évite les antennes empêtrés dans les câbles à l'arrière du boitier.Il est juste à regretter que les câbles de l'antenne soit un peu courts, suffisamment longs pour poser l'antenne sur le dessus du boitier de PC mais définitivement trop courts pour poser celle-ci sur le plan du bureau.Pleinement satisfait de ce produit, personnellement je recommande !

Compre el producto para arreglar un error, tenia la PCE51 un poco mas barata pero necesitaba bluetooth asi que la cambie por esta y sus beneficios tiene. Al principio me disgustó un poco el diseño de las antenas, en esa mini peana que las dobla, mas que nada porque la PCE51 tiene dos antenas grandes rigidas y las de este tienen un cable de 1m mas o menos hasta la peanita con las antenas, y la base no esta imantada, como otras que he tenido, por lo que es un coñazo andar con la peanita por fuera de la caja sin sujeccion (vale, podria ponerle un poco de cinta de doble cara y solucionarlo, pero como digo he tenido otras tarjetas asi con antenas asi, de cable hasta una peanita y si eran imantadas, lo cual paliaba un poco la incomodidad).Por lo demás, ninguna queja, el BT funciona perfectamente, buenas distancias (con cascos bluetooth puedo hasta irme por otras habitaciones sin perder nada). En cuanto al wifi Ac pues bien, se nota la diferencia de los Ac750 obviamente, principalmente si dispones de ancho de banda suficiente, yo diria mas de 300Mb de internet. Yo es lo que tengo, y con Ac 750 cojo unos 250-280 en el mejor de los casos, ahora dispongo de todo el ancho de banda desde un pc.Recomendaría su compra, no es muy caro (asus misma tiene otros modelos monisimos rojos, pero con incluso menos características, el bluetooth principalmente, y cobran mas por ser "gaming" y tener heatsinks rojos super cuquis, pero yo recomendaría esta, porque por unos cuantos leuros menos tienes un combo con BT4 (si os fijais falta en unas cuantas tarjetas de este tipo que esperarías que tuvieran), Ac 1200 y poco problema. Ademas yo uso mi pc para juegos entre otras cosas y no tengo la mas mínima queja.

Cercavo da tempo una scheda Bluetooth per il mio PC fisso e improvvisamente ho trovato questa scheda. Con mio grande stupore ho visto che era anche una scheda Wi-Fi.Inizialmente ero un po' titubante se fare o meno questo acquisto, a causa della mancanza di recensioni e dalla provenienza estera del prodotto (ipotizzando lunghi tempi di consegna), ma alla fine ho deciso lo stesso di fare l'ordine.Con mio grande stupore il pacco mi doveva essere recapitato tra il 15 ed il 21 settembre (ho fatto l'ordine il 06) invece mi è stato consegnato addirittura il 09 settembre (il pacco proveniva dalla Germania e non ho Amazon Prime o fatto l'ordine per una spedizione più veloce), integro e con un eccellente imballaggio.Passando al prodotto vero e proprio, si tratta di una scheda di rete combo (Wi-Fi + Bluetooth) con connettore PCI-E x1 dotata di antenna con prolunga a 2 attacchi (in modo da poterla posizionare dove si vuole). Necessita anche di una connessione ad una porta USB sulla scheda madre per l'alimentazione (cavo compreso nella scatola).La riesce a captare molto bene le reti Wi-Fi da una buona distanza (anche tra stanza diverse compresi i muri).Non ho riscontrato grosse perdite di velocità della rete internet anche a distanze al limite della sua copertura.Per il Bluetooth posso solo dire che non ho avuto problemi a connettermi con i vari smartphone e la velocità di trasferimento dati è molto elevata compatibile con lo standard 4.0E' possibile configurare anche un Joypad Bluetooth della XBox.L'installazione è immediata per Windows 10, mentre per Windows 7 bisogna installare i driver compresi nel mini CD d'installazione o scaricabili direttamente dal sito della ASUS.In generale fa il suo dovere egregiamente, non ho avuto nessun problema di compatibilità o disconnessioni.

1.: GrundlegendesBei dieser Wifi-Karte handelt es sich in Wirklichkeit um einen PCIe auf Mini-PCIe-Adapter. Das heißt, dass anders als bei den anderen Karten von ASUS der Chipsatz nicht fest verbaut ist, sondern in einem Steckplatz auf der Adapterplatine steckt. Interessanterweise ist der Chipsatz dabei gar nicht von ASUS, sondern der Vorgänger des aktuellen High-End-Modells von Intel, der AC7260. Damit ist hohe Kompatibilität zu so ziemlich aller modernen Netzwerkhardware fast schon garantiert und solide Leistung gibt es oben drauf. Beim Stand des derzeitigen Preises (knapp 40€) ergibt sich auch ein exzellentes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, da der Chipsatz alleine bereits rund 20 bis 30€ veranschlagt, und der Adapter selbst von guter Qualität ist.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------2.: Technisches Mumbo-JumboDie Karte unterstützt mit 802.11 b, g, n, a und ac alle aktuellen Wifi-Standards, darüber hinaus auch Bluetooth 4.0 (z.B. für Drahtlosmäuse). Die 2x2-Antennenkonfiguration erlaubt 2 gleichzeitige Datenstreams (in den entsprechenden Übertragungsmodi), was bei aktuellster Hardware im 2.4 GHz-Netz eine maximale Bruttodatenrate von bis zu 300 Mbit/s und im 5.2 GHz-Netz von bis zu 867 Mbit/s erlaubt. Die realen Datenraten liegen natürlich meist deutlich darunter, und sind stark von den Umgebungsparamtern abhängig (Entfernung der Geräte, Wände zwischen den Geräten, andere Funknetze, etc.). Access Points, also das Gerät, das die Wifi-Gegenstelle darstellt, müssen selbstverständlich eine gleiche oder höhere Anzahl an Antennen haben, um diese Geschwindigkeiten nutzen zu können, aber das sollte heutzutage in jedem Mittelklasserouter der meisten Internetprovider der Fall sein.Erwähnenswert ist, dass der Intel-Chipsatz DFS unterstützt, d.h. dass er den automatischen Frequenzwechsel im 5.2 GHz-Band unterstützt. Diese Bedingung ist in Europa (und neuerdings auch in den USA) notwendig um die Wifi-Kanäle oberhalb Kanal 48 nutzen zu können. Geräte die damit inkompatibel sind werden aus dem größten Teil des 5.2 GHz-Bands ausgeschlossen, was insbesondere deshalb ärgerlich ist, da aber Kanal 100 höhere Sendeleistungen erlaubt sind (bis zu 23 dBm, also das Doppelte im Vergleich zu den 20 dBm die sonst für Wifi in Deutschland erlaubt sind). Aufgrund der hohen Frequenzen dieser Kanäle macht sich dieser Unterschied empfindlich bemerkbar, also ein deutlicher Pluspunkt für diese Karte. Natürlich muss auch der Access Point DFS unterstützen, um ein Netzwerk auf diesen Kanälen betreiben zu können.ACHTUNG: Die Karte braucht für die Buetooth-Funktionalität einen freien USB-Header! Das Kabel hierfür liegt der Karte bei, aus dem Handbuch wird nicht ersichtlich wofür diese Verbindung genutzt wird. Energie alleine ist nicht das Problem, alles was die Karte braucht und mehr stellt der PCIe-Port zur Verfügung.Natürlich unterstützt der Chipsatz auch alle aktuellen Sicherheitsstandards, also namentlich WPA2 Personal und WPA2 Enterprise. Somit ist weder im Privaten noch in Unternehmen (die häufig WPA2 Enterprise in Verbindung mit einem RADIUS Server einsetzen) mit Problemen zu rechnen. Da das mittlerweile zur Standardausrüstung gehört, soll hier nicht weiter darauf eingegangen werden.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------3.: BedienungEinbauen, Kabel einstecken, Antenne anschließen (das Kabel ist ist gerademal einen Meter lang, viel Spielraum ist hier nicht!), fertig. Unter Windows 7, 8, 8.1 und 10 wird die Karte automatisch erkannt und ist sofort einsatzbereit. Aufgrund der eher mageren Qualität des Intel-Tools ist dessen Installation auch nicht empfehlenswert, Windows verwaltet diese Karte deutlich angenehmer und sorgenfreier.Für Linux werden von Intel Treiber angeboten, unter Ubuntu 14.04 LTS und 16.04 LTS funktioniert der Chipsatz auf Anhieb und ohne weitere Konfiguration durch den Nutzer. So soll es sein.Unterstützung durch Apple ist nicht vorgesehen (Apple setzt auf Broadcom-Hardware in fast allen neueren Produkten), die Karte wird auch von keinem offiziellen Apple-Produkt verwendet.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------4.: SonstigesDie mitglieferte Antenne ist eine einfache 3dBi Stummelantenne, 08/15-Kost. Das heißt jetzt nicht, dass man loslaufen und sich irgendetwas teures kaufen soll, aber Wunder sollte man nicht erwarten. Die Auswahl an Antennen durch Drittanbieter wäre ohnehin sehr eingeschränkt, wenn man das 5.2 GHz-Band nutzen möchte.Das Kabel der Antenne ist lediglich einen Meter lang, beim Ausrichten bleibt hier also nicht sehr viel Spielraum wenn der Computer unter dem Schreibtisch verschwinden soll! Viel länger sollte das Kabel bei der Antennenverstärkung aber auch nicht werden, da sonst die Kabeldämpfung alle möglichen Gewinne durch die Antennenpositionierung zunichte macht.Die Karte braucht einen freien USB-Header auf dem Mainboard um Bluetooth nutzen zu können, bei billigen Mainboards kann das bedeuten, dass man die Hälfte oder gar alle Frontanschlüsse verliert! Falls möglich sollte man dafür keinen USB 3-Header opfern, der Karte reicht auch ein USB 2-Header aus. Somit kann man wenigstens die schnellen Anschlüsse am Frontpanel benutzen.Bluetooth funktioniert zwar einwandfrei, das es aber im gleichen Band wie das 2.4 GHz-Wifi-Netz sendet kann dadurch die Reichweite und Datenrate des Wifis eingeschränkt werden! Das 5.2 GHz-Band ist davon natürlich nicht betroffen, allerdings steht dann nur noch eine Antenne für die Datenübertragung in diesem Bereich zur Verfügung, was im schlimmsten Fall eine Reduzierung auf 150 Mbit/s beim n-Standard und 433 Mbit/s beim ac-Standard Brutto bewirkt. Wer kein Bluetooth benötigt kann einfach das oben genannte USB-Kabel weglassen, dann fehlt diese Funktion völlig und die Karte werkelt als reiner Wifi-Adapter.P.S.: Korrektur zum USB-Kabel und der Bluetooth-Funktion, Rechtschreibung.
