90mm bucket made from FDA compliant HDPE A Gamma Seal lid fits the bucket to a threaded lid. The Gamma seal is installed by the customer but can be pre-installed on the bucket for better shipping. A rubber mallet (not included) is useful for installing the threaded ring on the bucket. The ring attaches to the edge of the bucket with an O-ring. The part of the threaded lid then turns and turns off to seal the ring with another O-ring. O-Ring has a food grade silicone lubricant that helps the O-ring not to grab plastic sealing surfaces. If this lubricant is removed by excessive cleaning, the O-ring can grasp and stretch and loosen its retention in the lid. Plastic containers are rarely true. Leaving the lid snug for a period of time and allowing multiple components to conform to each other in a warmer ambient temperature environment can help performance. For long-term food and liquid applications, we recommend a classic clip on lid with seal. The Gamma Seal shin guard is practical.
