I do a lot of light grinding. Well balanced. Grinds well .

Solid bench grinder wheel for general rough shaping and removing rust/corrosion. But I would not use it for finer touch ups and honing. Too course and too much heat. But for general work and fixing up a nicked blade and so forth, it’s just fine. For more precision work, I’d use one of those white Norton cool grinding wheels in the finer grits

No center sleeve so it’s only going to work with a 1/2 inch shaft, they’re “60” grit is not very course but it’ll do.

First, these aren't true, so they wobble some which is never good on a high speed grinder. The wheel I replaced had been ground down over years of grinding. It spun true, no wobble. Wheels that aren't running true put more wear on your grinder, I mean mine was making a bit of noise using this and it create rattles between covers on the grinder that had never rattled before. Next, I've ground points into stainless steel rods MANY times with the wheels that came with my Black & Decker grinder. For this wheel I'm watching it disappear after grinding two rods and it developed a valley in the center of stone the VERY quickly. So, this stone isn't anywhere near the hardness of the stone that came with my grinder, a grinder that's about 30 YO. So, I'm probably going to get through 6 - 10 rods with this wheel if I'm lucky. I wish there was a hardness rating with these so I could make a purchase based on how hard a wheel is. As it is I'll have to buy ANOTHER stone to finish up the number of rods I need to put a point into which now makes the job I'm doing more expensive. So, the search is now on for better quality wheels, ones that will run true and is also harder so it doesn't wear down so fast.
