Best Calligraphy Pen for Japanese.
This pen is my favourite pen. Out of all the Muji and Faber Castell's, this pen stands out. The extra large brush it perfect and so inky but still doesn't bleed through! I have not used it enough to see the ink run out, but the cartridge is well suited.I would say this is perfect for wanting to practice kanji (logographic alphabets found in Japanese, and Chinese) or making beautiful calligraphy art. You don't need the neatest handwriting to show the brilliance of this pen.I have not heard of this brand before but I am sure to buy much more from them if they keep this standard.Good, fast delivery to top it off.10/10 amazing pen, even if you don't write that much but want to enjoy the times you do, I would recommend this pen to my family and friends.Kanji can be beautiful and this pen holds it to an impressive standard.

Perfect Pen
I love this pen. I now use this pen exclusively for all my black and white drawings. If I need fill I'll use my Pentel brush pen, but other than that I would use this for all my lines. The only problem I have is it becomes too inky using it after a while of it sitting, therefore I waste about a line of ink before starting my drawing. I just this pen so often I could go through one of them in less than a few days. I'm now on my third one and am going to buy a few in bulk. I hope they create a more affordable version of this where they allow refills easier. And also sell their own ink pot alongside it.

Excellent Japanese Quality
This, and the medium version of the pen are the best brush pens I have ever used. I use it for sketches a4 size and down over. The variation of line width is very important to me. I find it very controllable and smooth and can get a line from 6mm using the side of the pen down to using the tip with line variation between 3mm to a very fine hairs width. An example of this would typically be in a landscape scene for a tree trunk, branches and twigs. The ink is a very rich black and flows freely and is very expressive. After An hour the ink is still very soluble, which I like. When I have used myZig pen it would not be free flowing and it has a tendency to be scratchy and unpredictable. Neither would the Zig pen be expressive or have much line variation, and fine lines for twigs would not be achievable. The Pitt artist brush pens I use are very good but again cannot produce very thin lines. I do find Pitt good for larger, bolder work A4 and up over. So, I am very pleased with the Kuretake!I did take note of one reviewer about ink leaking. Because the ink is very free flowing I wipe the nib after use and when in transit, I try to keep the pen vertical, tip upwards of course. In summary, the Kuretake suits my sketching style which is on the lighter, finer side of the spectrum, most often buildings, cottages with trees and shrubs. For the modest price I find it very good value for money.

Great
Easy to use and it lasts long but it is thicker that I thought, as in it could leak through thin paper

Best brush pen I've ever had
Fantastic brush pen, better than any other pen I have used for inking and I just wish I knew about these when I was still in college (illustration and visual communications course for 3 years). Far better quality than the Faber Castelle pens I always had to use. As far as I can tell, this will be my go-to pen for the rest of my life. Great ink flow and control, dark solid black ink- just be sure to let it dry before trying to erase any pencil or working close because your hand can smudge the ink. Also bought the thicker variant of this pen too and ordered another of each which I'm eagerly awaiting in the mail. Seller also sent paper shurikens which was also a nice little gesture.

Scratchy and unresponsive
Not sure how this has had so many positive reviews - the tip is so hard that I can't even really describe it as a brush pen. As you would expect, such a firm tip means bland, uniform strokes.I guess it's okay as a jotter, but if you want a convenient brush pen that is firm but still allows some variation, I would definitely recommend the Tombow WS-BH-1P instead.
