Neal’s Yard Remedies Garden Mint & Bergamot Hand Wash, Pump or No Pump, Hand Soap with Herbal & Botanical Essential Oils, Vegan & Cruelty Free, 200ml

Before using this product I had only been using a sulphate-based handwash. When I first started using this, I was disappointed. I was using it as if it were my regular hand wash. (That is, wet hands, apply hand wash, rub for a second or two (immediately producing copious amounts of lather), rinse, dry, done)).However, when I used this product in the same way, it did not lather at all, but left my hands feeling slightly greasy. I didn't like it and I was thinking of leaving a three star review, until I realised this is an oil-based product. The sulphates in the other hand washes produced immediate lather, but add nothing in the way of moisture back to the skin. (In fact, sulphates can strip moisture from the skin). Oil based washes are different.In order to produce lather, it is necessary to wet hands, apply hand wash, then rub vigorously for several seconds until the lather appears. This seems to "unlock" the washing element of the product. As you keep rubbing the lather will soon disappear. At that point the hand wash has done its job and the hands can be rinsed and dried as usual. When used like this, my hands feel moisturised but not greasy. It has made me realise that my hands always felt dry after using sulphate-based washes, but now the skin feels supple and nourished.I have realised that this is a completely different type of product to the ones I have been used to, and now I have adjusted my usage and expectations I am very pleased with this hand wash and would not return to using a sulphate-based product.

This has a nice smell and lovely ingredients it is quite expensive but you are paying for the quality of the product

Neals Yard is known for its blue glass bottles. Beautiful in the bathroom or kitchen.The scent is amazing. The liquid soap leaves your hands so fresh, even after gardening.It lasts a long time. The oils make it gentle on the skin. 10 out of 10 for quality.

Firstly, NYR GM & B hand-wash is a pleasant product, though the scent that slightly lingers is a less GM&B and more 'soap'. I rate it 4 stars on initial scent being as expected when I chose this product, fresh and reminiscent of a botanical cocktail with mint, washing feels nice with it, and doesn't dry out my hands - it's a nice hand-wash.HOWEVER, I am a bit frustrated and perplexed at why anyone would package glass, organic, mostly natural product in a flimsy plastic bag, loose in a box, with or without other glass bottles (in my case with), without any protection whatsoever and no 'Fragile' marking on the outer packaging. In my case, the glass didn't break, but the bottles were all just loose and lolling about in their own plastic bags and one of my handwashes leaked all over itself, the pump was loose.The total lack of thought, care and common sense has bothered me. I don't know if Amazon or NYR are responsible for the plastic bag, but in this case Amazon was responsible for the rest of the packaging. Whoever is responsible for the packaging - really? Whoever is responsible for the plastic bag - maybe don't with a natural, organic product in a glass bottle (glossing over the plastic pump).Other reviews, which I read and took a chance on, will also warn of the packaging issues and leaking. I typically don't leave reviews, ever. It annoys me when people leave 'product' reviews about none product related issues - like seller issues, customer service and packaging etc.., but in this case you can't rate your product effectively if it's spilled everywhere and the packaging thing is a real issue in this case. Also, it's GLASS you have clanging about - people could cut themselves.Nice handwash, though....

Amazing smelling product, accidentally ordered 2 but I'm not complaining. Delivery was fast as I come to expect from Amazon these days

Bought as a present for someone. Have only today been able to pass it on and when unwrapping it, we found that the pump action top on the bottle wasn't attached properly and half the contents had spilled out into the bubble wrap in which the bottle arrived in. As it's past the 30 days since dely cannot request a replacement or return. Not very good!!

Neal‘s Yard Produkte enttäuschen eigentlich nie aber bei diesem fehlt offensichtlich an Inhalt und es ist an der Pump Funktion völlig eingesaut. Entweder ist es ausgelaufen oder auch schon benutzt worden. Die andere 1 Sterne Bewertung des anderen Käufers passt außerdem nicht mit der angegebenen 5 Sterne Bewertung des Produkts zusammen.

Couldn’t give it a 5 bc every time I order several of the bottles are half empty. But I do love this product. I’ve ordered 6 bottles two separate times and each time half the bottles were loose and half empty.

This smells so good but the packaging was poor. It came in bubble wrap but the pump wasn’t secured and half the bottle leaked out! Very disappointed.Can I send this back - it’s a mess!
