Silver Grey Crushed Velvet Fabric Craft Stretch Velour -150 cm Wide

The comments are often a bit conflicting because so many sellers are on the same listing so I'll start by saying my review applies to the silver grey stretch crushed velour fabric from the Waterberries store. It was cleanly cut, neatly vacuum packed, and delivered quickly by courier. It's decent quality at a low price (2m for £6) for light upholstery. I wouldn't personally use it for clothing as it has good stretch (50%) but not such great recovery. I have calculated 20% negative ease and am using it to make a divan base wrap and a headboard cover for a single bed. It stretches nicely, is easy to work with and looks great for that purpose. I wouldn't particularly choose this fabric for dressmaking because only stretches widthways and not lengthways, and it doesn't feel soft like dress fabric against the skin. But for the purpose I bought it, it is excellent value and I am very pleased. 5* all round for the fabric and the seller.

I bought these to cover a few plain boxes I had on top of my wardrobe, they look good, they were easy to place on, the only issues I had was that I bought some originally to see how it came, I then ordered the same product again at a bigger size and the colour difference was slightly off. This was okay as I had 3 boxes to cover and I put the lighter in the middle. I would just recommend that you buy the right amount of this product that you need in case this happens to you

Bought this fabric to cover a leather bed. Got 6 meters in length as wasn't sure it was going to b wide enough for my tall headboard but it was I've covered the whole bed and still have loads of fabric left and it looks great. Its a nice dark silver color good quality as well was worried it might be thin and see through but its not. Great price, great delivery great fabric

Lovely quality fabric and easier to work with than other crushed velvets I have used. It is not see through and drapes beautifully. It's more grey/matt in natural light but has a high sheen to it and reflective in artificial light. Such a versatile fabric and could be used for many things from soft furnishings, curtains, crafts and clothes. Would buy again.

Disappointed in this item that arrived this morning, it clearly states in description that it is a stretch fabric, but it has absolutely no stretch!! Although it is a good quality fabric and lovely colour that was reasonably priced, the description is very misleading.

I bought this to reupholster dining room chairs and bar stools. It was super easy to work with, to stretch and secure into place. I did these months ago (did in March and it is now November) and the fabric has stayed in place without pulling, tearing or sagging even when used multiple times every single day. The fabric is easy to clean on the chairs any marks just wipes away with cold water and cloth (even bean stain juice). I also had enough left to make a table runner and I have had this in the washing machine multiple times and it is still in great condition. I was mixed buying this fabric because of the mixed reviews but I would highly recommend.

I had been looking for an inexpensive crushed velvet fabric without loosing the quality, I am currently re upholstering my dining chairs, and I ordered one meter at first and was pleasantly surprised by how soft and how generous the fabric was. After my first chair was finished I have ordered again and again, and this will be my go-to for crushed velvet.
