"Collapsible" means it is a 'telescoping' scope.
Two reviewers clearly haven't read or understood the instructions."wouldn't focus""focuses by pulling/pushing the front"No - think of an old Pirate telescope - you pull the front out to change from 'stowed' to 'using' position.Then turn the milled wheel like any other spotting scope.

Focusing may be a problem
Have to clarify it is my first scope.Was just surprised to notice that the focus actually happens by grabing the outer part of the lens and pushing it (by hand) back and forth.So focusing is not so easy.But once done image are clear and it is fun to use.
