5 star FOR THE PRICE!
As a whole, it's 4 stars. The magazine or maybe the pin probe, sucks. It's garbage really, but read on fellow PCP fanatics. The gun is awesome, quiet, accurate and light. Why they don't address the mag/pellet probe issue bewilders me. But buy a mag from Maple Customs or Carm and it's fantastic, especially for the price, hence the 5 star review. I have pellet guns from $50 to $2200 (FX Impact) and can honestly say, no, this is not on par, or even close to $2200 gun. But for sub $250 it's fantastic. 21 full power shots 737fps w 15.89 JSB's makes 19fpe right out of the box. That's w the hammer spring all the way out. Read as...It's got more on tap! As for sound, it's the same as my stock Marauder pistol...except more powerful (P-rod shooting 626fps w 15.89s so 13.83fpe) The sound of the ping of metal spinners to your ear...well there's no doubt the Notos is smacking much harder. I bought this gun to prove to a fellow airgunner (Zak) that this gun will not compare to my P-rod...well now I gotta tell him he was freakin right...ugh. LOL The target pic, upper right, Notos w 15.89FX pellets, lower right, P-rod, same pellets. P-rod has a 3-9 scope, Notos had a red dot... Deck was stacked for P-rod to win, but that Notos is a damn close second. I'll update this review when I add a scope to Notos, but I expect it to win, being it almost tied w a red dot. Now the Marauder pistol feels better, quality wise, better trigger, can add a Donny FL Tanto easily (I did) and it's half as loud, THE MAG IS FLAWLESS, but... The Notos is more powerful, and half the money. And this thing is just as accurate...so yeah...Zak was right and he'll probably see this... BTW, get some of those bottle cap targets, the ones that allow you to fill a soda bottle to 100psi, but beware, they are shotgun loud, not backyard friendly AT ALL! But fun!

Excellent PCP for Price
A tack driver with the right pellets. Nice look, fit and finish, lightweight and very accurate. Probably the best out there for the price range. I look for prices to skyrocket on the Notos. Its better than the price you pay for it. Many accessories are available for it as well on e-bay and other PCP supplier sights. I highly recommend it. Make sure you load the magazine correctly, watch you tube, or you will quickly destroy the barrel and injection system. Use high quality, high quality rated pellets in the correct weight and you will be overly impressed at the 1" groups.

A very accurate carbine/ Second update
This PCP carbine is highly accurate with almost all pellets I put through it. It has a lot of other plus such as built in Picatinny rail instead of the weak 11mm we often see on pellet rifles. The short and compact size is great for use in limited space. The regulator maintains the air pressure at a constant level, which I think is 1,100 psi. User can tweak it to higher pressure to get high velocity. I did not mess with it since the factory setting works great and rodents can't tell the difference if the pellet is 100 ft/sec faster. I found the sweet spot for best groups is at 1500 - 2500 psi. The rifle is very well balanced and the AR15 style adjustable buttstock is awesome. The integral sound suppressor is more than adequate to keep neighbors from being annoyed. I have got about 1,000 pellets down the barrel and so far so good.....no air leak yet. On the minus side, its magazine requires some tweaking before being able to function. However, Umarex thoughtfully includes a single-shot tray in the package. Using the single-shot tray instead of the magazine produces better grouping as the pellet goes into the chamber on a straight line and its skirt is not deformed. The trigger is two-stage and is gritty. There is an adjustment screw but I have not tried it out yet. When I have time I may break it down to see if there is a way to polish the trigger group to eliminate the gritty feeling. The bottom line is this rifle is a great buy at $270 for someone starting out into the PCP world. Update: It took 1500 rounds through the barrel for the rifle to really shine. I now am accustomed to the long and gritty trigger pull and that helps a lot. The magazine works great after four adjustments done. It holds pressure for several days without any leak. I think the barrel has also stabilized and I hardly get a flyer. At 30 yards all pellet holes touch each other. This is now my go to pellet rifle to keep the rodents under control around my garden. I have updated the rating to five stars from previous four stars. Update 10/26/2024: I finally adjusted the trigger to practically do away with the long trigger pull. The trigger is still not as smooth as my Marauder, which I use as the standard to judge, but it is definitely a markedly enhancement to the factor set trigger. It shoots 1/2" groups at 20 yards with the least expensive Gamo pellets I paid $15 for 950-count package. I now target practice with this combo.

Great air rifle with a few mods!!
This has proven to be a great PCP air rifle. Pros: Cost, accuracy, and ease/availability of upgrades. Cons: Only 1 magazine included with initial purchase, limited shots per magazine (7), small stock air tank (about 20 regulated shots per fill)... Luckily, these few cons are cost effectively overcome with aftermarket upgrades, which make this air rifle an absolute dream to plink/varmint hunt with. Highly recommend!!

Shoot low with scope when fully adjusted
Seems nice and quiet. Easy to fill using my scuba tanks. However I can’t get it to sight in at all. High quality scope on the rail but at 20 yards even, I have the scope adjusted all the way and it still shoots about 6” low. Not sure what the problem is but will, shim the scope mounts and see if that might work.
