Solid Tone Generator
This unit works well and generates a good audible tone. The build quality and design seem pretty durable, and like this tool will be able to survive bouncing around in a tool bag and traveling from site to site. I appreciate that it comes with the batteries included, and it works well overall for identifying. Note that it doesn’t come with adapters for coaxial or RJ-45, so you will have to get those separately, but I have no real complaints here, this is pretty solid.

Simple tool, works well, missing a few accessories
I've been installing data cables for over 15 years so I've spent many a days toning out unmarked cables. This tool works as well as any of the other toners I have used. The audio tone is plenty loud enough to be heard in a noisy data room. I would have given the tool 5 starts if it included the adapters for RJ-45 and coax. I appreciate that unit comes with the required 9V batteries. I'm happy to have one of these for around the house for labelling all my data and coax lines.

Relatively inexpensive, and it works well
“NOYAFA NF-805 Tone Generator and Probe Kit , Tone Tracing and Cable Tester for Telephone Line Test with Network Cable Collation“I’ve had a “bad” phone outlet in my home for a while. Basically, it was dead. This low cost tone generator with a phone line lead worked perfectly for my needs.I simply:1) installed the included 9-volt batteries (you’ll need a small Phillips screwdriver to access the two battery compartments).2) plugged the RJ-11 plug into my phone jack.3) flipped the switch on the tone generator box to “tone”.4) turned on the amplifier probe and thumbed the dial upward to increase the volume.5) while pressing and holding the red power button of the amplifier probe, I held the black tip near my phone outlet until I heard the beeping sound.6) starting at the phone outlet, I moved the probe around to trace where the phone line was within the walls of my house, through my basement, and out to the garage.7) I was able to find the bad connection in the phone line up in the rafters of my garage.Somehow, the line there was a nicked and cut. Repairing the wire was simple, but It would’ve taken me forever to find where the problem was located without this probe. Now, to track down where all of this speaker wire leads…

This is impressive for the price!
I opened the box and found a carrying case. Inside the carrying case are 2 batteries (okay not Duracell or Energizer) but reasonable 9v batteries. It has basic function instructions complete with what the colors mean on this tester. It's probably similar to other testers. We need one of these in our office. Some of the lines in here go back more than 40 years. When we need to move a phone line, this tester is useful! It also comes with an earphone so you can listen when things are noisy and you're looking for a tone or continuity. We also have speaker wires running through this office so it will help with that too!
