Best Ethernet Switches On The Market
I always go with netgear for my switches, nobody beats them for speed, reliability, and durability. Have never had one of them fail on me, highly recommended if you just need a basic switch.

Easy to set up. Works like a champ.
Easy to wall-mount and get your Ethernet cords plugged in. Make sure you are close enough to an electrical socket to power the unit. I did a SIMPLE set up and install, plug-and-play, for home use. I did not have any networking rules or policies to implement. The speeds I am getting are very close to what I was expecting. If the specs fit your needs, I would recommend buying.

Great little 2.5 switch, runs hot!
Solid build quality and works well, I was able to saturate each link at 2.5gbs. Power connects in the "back," Ethernet cables plug in on the front. The switch runs hot under load, so it might not be the best choice for something that sits in direct sunlight or in a poorly ventilated area. Basically perfect for my mini-lab.

Does the job
So far, it is working as advertised. This switch is on the edge of my network and is used with a Samsung SmartHub. Not much high-speed network traffic there. I do use it occasionally when I plug my laptop into it for moving large files between the laptop and the NAS when Wi-Fi just won't cut it. And it works great.

Good value if bought on sale
My only issue was I wasnt being smart and messed up the connection order for this switch and my modem/router. Once I swapped them, everything worked perfectly. The build quality is solid, and the speeds are as advertised. I don't have screenshots, but I was getting ~250 MB/s. So, initial impressions are good for a simple switch for a home server/internet setup.

Good well priced switch
Works like a champ with my new fiber connection. Use it with my goCoax MoCA 2.5 Adapter.

Worked for a few weeks, then constant disconnects
UPDATE #2. Replacement switch has the exact same problem, though this one started failing two weeks after I received the replacement. To make sure it wasn't any of my equipment that was defective, I tried with different cables and different routers. When I went back to my old 1GB switch, all the problems went away. This switch is garbage. UPDATE: After one month, the switch is now constantly disconnecting. I'll be returning it. For months after I got my Xfinity modem/router I had no idea it had a 2.5GB port on it, so I was plodding along at 1GB the entire time. When I did find out though, I bought this switch. Installation was easy, and I immediately notice the increased speed especially when transferring files across my home network and loading websites. I have my old 1GB switch daisy chained to this one for slower devices (printer, older computers, etc..) and they work together with no problem. I wish they were a little cheaper though. This cost 5x more than an equivalent 1GB switch, which seems a little price-gougey to me. Maybe when the prices come down a bit I'll upgrade to one with 8 ports instead of 5.

Fried my motherboard's onboard ethernet port
In almost 30 years of dealing with this tech stuff, I've never seen a switch burn out an onboard ethernet port. After a few days of having this online, my Gigabyte onboard ethernet is fried like an egg and no longer works. Very strange, returning this item and staying far away. Going back to my old 1GB GS108 workhorse.
