Good - except for underfoot straps
Quality of the gaiters is actually very good for the price. The reason I am not giving a 5 is that one of the under-foot straps broke on first outing. Believe this was the comment of another review. OK, the climb was quite steep and rocking in places, but the strap seems to have broken on in leading instep side of the boot - these straps are a bit over-sized for the buckles which certainly prevents them from slipping but does not provide any give if stressed. The straps are made of back-to-back layer of reinforced plastic material - but there is not much body to the reinforcing material itself. Certainly a weakness to a well constructed gaiter. These underfoot straps can break and you can purchase replacements. However, there is a more practical solution. You can buy 50m of 20mm wide nylon webbing for a couple of pounds. Simply cut off lengths (sealing the ends with a match) and you have perfectly serviceable strong replacement straps. If and when they break or wear through, they are easy and cheap to replace. The gaiters themselves seem to be well made and a lot better than others I have tried at around the same price. They are quite waterproof, though you will likely find some condensation forming on the inside.

Great gaiters
Worn twice since purchase. Excellent quality, comfy fit and good design.Kept my lower legs warm and dry whilst out on a cold, sleety morning on the Yorkshire moors.A bit fiddly to initially get the two parts of the zip together, but once that's done they zip up easily. Good strong Velcro keeps the baiter wind and waterproof.Highly recommended.

Sturdy and effective product.
Took it for its first tramp over Kinder, lots of bog, no trouble keeping the rest of me dry with these over the top. Good sturdy product that reassures me it'll stand up to long abuse over the years. Will report back if I have more news with experience. Must get a spare pair in reserve! :)

Quality Product at a great price
Quality product at a really good price. Very strong zips that are easy to use and the velcro really sticks! My only negative (hence 4 stars not 5) is that although 'breathable' the insides of the gaiters do get damp and so do my trousers.

Avoiding ticks and thorns whilst walking in the woods
COMPLEMENT MY CARN WALKING BOOTS PERFECTLY. good quality material and the instructions were excellent. I previously purchased a cheaper pair which are perfectly functional, but I couldn't work out how to wear them.

Ordered these for specific purpose which was to jet wash my block paving and to protect my lower legs. Worked a treat and arrived quickly. No doubt also ideal for walkers and trapsing through the trossucks!

Good, but fault after the first serious walk.
They look nice and good, but after the first walk in the winter mountain I found that one of the straps was almost cut off.And it was a walk mostly in the forest, no rocky road or climbing.Otherwise it's fine, but be careful.

Brilliant gaiters
I bought these to replace a pair of very low quality gaiters. These are brilliant, well made of decent material with taped seams. The closures and straps are excellent. What's more this is a small British company make high quality and affordable stuff.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
