I guess it would last awhile if you stored it in Tupperware or rubber maid. We break it up put a little butter on it Yummy doesn't last long in our joude

What is the “consume by” date?

The "best by" date is usually printed on the back of the paper package, however we have been eating this great product for a long time and found that the product was fine way, way past that date. It is such a clean, simple product with few ingredients that there's little to spoil if stored in a reasonable manner. It is unfortunate that it no longer comes in a case size which is considerably cheaper. It is becoming a hard product to find at local health food stores.
