Great product, so addictive once you start using it ...
Its light box but far be it from actually being a box! This item is one of the better uses of LED technology rather than shining every colour possible inside a PC case. My 18yr old daughter is an art student and I thought that I’d surprise her with this gem. Back in the day light boxes where literally a bulb inside a box made from conte’ board. This LED light panel is it should be more aptly called is not a box at all. It’s a slither of LED, Perspex and Plastic. As I watched her pull it from the box I was ooooh!!! It’s so thin!!! When I say thin it really is thin. I think the pencil was thicker. The front panel edging is finished in a piano black plastic and an opaque drawing surface in the middle. There is a logo on the bottom right and a single power on/light level adjusting touch button can be found on the top left. The illuminated surface is generous, A3 in size – chose this because I bought her an A3 folio case so I assumed she could take to college if she wanted to. As part of the package it comes with a stand, some clips for holding the paper steady a pencil which went into the bin and a glove, the kind you find with digital drawing pads for use with computers and post productionists – just like me! The unit is powered via a micro usb port and 3pin UK style power plug is included. I experimented to see if my portable phone powerbank would work, it did!! (that means I need to get a powerbank for her too.) It boast 10 levels of light adjustment – to be honest the first 5 seem the same, it isn’t until you get to 6 onwards where you see the difference. The emitted light is not blinding and does not tire as you use it. It is actually quite comfortable to use over a long period of time however I would suggest that you do so in a well lit room. The whole of the drawing area is evenly lit, I couldn’t tell if the light source was only from one side or all sides. The build is pretty solid, no creaks or misaligned edges however there is some flex, probably more in this A3 size and the ultra thin profile doesn’t help however, to keep the weight down and aesthetics of this it’s a trade off that was worth the sacrifice. This item was not exactly cheap however I’m pleased with the build and how it performed so I guess you pay for what you get at the end of the day. Quality an assurance.

Fantastic Light Box, for Photographers, Budding Artists, & Amazing NeedleWomen everywhere.
Marvellous degree of adjustment for brightness. The Illumination is evenly spread across the entire surface and unlike the majority of photographers light boxes it doesn’t heat up either. It’s possible to use this in two ways - either as a photographers light box to check negatives, or slides (Yep, I’m that old!), but there’s a second use which I shouldn’t have mentioned, namely as used by really detailed stitchers. My better half is a very accomplished needlesmith and she found it to be useful for transfer of designs to fabric (uses an image printed on tracing paper) so that the fabric is easily marked on. I would never have thought of this in a million years! I’d also recommend the adjustable stand (there are several) and I’ll put the details in if I’m able to edit this. BTW - it is also useful for us old artists as I can use tracing paper c/w a basic image to get things started.

Great
The light pad is fine, bright enough to see clearly through watercolour and pastel papers. It's lovely and thin, even a bit flexible. The stand is small and I don't know how useful it will be. The glove, I realise, is to stop your hand sticking to the screen as you trace - actually, perhaps quite a good idea. The 'tracing paper' is perhaps tissue paper, but then I didn't buy it for the tracing paper - just as well. The plug I thought was useless, but I've realised you have to pull the single upper pin up away from the two metal-tipped ones to create a proper UK 3-pin plug. So now, I'm totally happy.

Disappointing
I bought this because of the product description and reviews saying how bright it is, but perhaps mine is faulty as it's nowhere near bright enough - not even as bright as one I already have that costs less than half of what this one cost. The one good point about it is that the light is less harsh, which is easier on your eyes.

Great light box for the cost. Ideal for beginners
Great light box, works well and does the job. Used for a couple of months now with no problem. Did think it was faulty as I struggled to turn it on but you have to press and hold for a few seconds. Rather flimsy but great for the money.

Lightbox works well through heavy weight of paper.
The Yaufey A3 LED Lightbox, is a great Lightbox and the light works well when tracing through cartridge paper on to 300gsm HP paper. However, I found that I had been sent Tissue Paper and not Tracing Paper as per the product description. The suppliers acted very promptly in response and as a result I am happy to give this product 4 Stars.

Died after 5 months
It's a great A3 light board if somewhat expensive and it worked well for 5 months. Then it died. It's all very well making a product that works out of the box but I would expect it to last at least a year. It is expensive and there are light boards out there for half the price. I suspect that many are from the same source and the same quality. I would recommend buying one of the cheaper versions - at least you will be less disappointed when it packs up.

Seriously bright and incredibly lightweight
Oh my goodness, as I pulled it out the box, it was so light it was almost like "this has got to be terrible" it is wafer thin, I love the fact that unlike the a4 one I bought the power button is on the top left not bottom right as a righty i kept catching the button with my arm on the previous one (I was buying a new one as I needed bigger size) the 10 levels are noticeably different too. Like all nerds, straight to brightest, and it is great to trace to 300gsm water colour paper from standard printing paper.. This is a thing of beauty!
