Khadi Paper Fat Book 21x21cm. Artists Handmade Paper Watercolour Painting Drawing Sketchbook

I have been painting in watercolour for over 30 years, and some of the bad reviews I have seen on here, are from people who don't know what they are talking about. If you find the paint is laying on top of the size, then wet the paper down before you start to paint, the size then will not be as thick. If you stretch the paper, the size again will disappear little. This paper is great for drawing on, and it's not that rough compared to some of the big brands. If this paper stays at the price it is now, then will be back for more. It gets 5 stars all the way from me.

Wonderful sketchbook with amazing quality paper, buckles when wet, but dries flat and can handle a large amount of wet media and lots of layers. When using a rag to remove colour the paper did pill, but prior to that it had been soaked wet through and painted over a lot of layers. The only downside..the cover. I would prefer something a little more robust but that is just personal preference

Good quality paper, but not suitable for watercolour - too thin for that.

I have been looking a long time for the right sketchbook and have bought many, many books and have finally found the right one. This book, as well as others from the Khadi line are amazing. This book has what looks like pretty thin paper and I thought it wouldn’t be able to handle washes, but I have drowned the paper and it has never soaked through. And, it looks cool :). I have gotten more comments on how this book looks. At this time, I don’t see changing to another brand any time soon.

Fab book, I love the rustic finish and the binding. Good value for money. A bit thin for water colours wet on wet technique, it does buckled but seems to flatten back once dried. If you paint with little water then this would be perfect. I put a piece of card under my page to protect the rest of the book. I’m a big fan of Khadi Paper.

This is a fat book! Paper is lovely, watercolours love it. I am extremely pleased with it, maybe it is because it has a soft cover or it could be because it has lots of pages but I don't have I'm usual problem of being too precious with my paper. I will be buying more.

Lovely watercolour paper (once you realise you have to wet it once then again with colour to really get the benefit of its quality). However quite a few individual pages came unglued at the spine when the book was flattened to paint across the two pages. Lived the paper so much thst I bought it in A4 and A3 individual papers packs. Looking forward to painting on it.

Lovely paper not heavy weight not all same size sheets but for use as an exercise of watercolour and gouache superb

C'est bien l'authentique Khadi FatBook, contrairement au descriptif il y a 100 feuilles, donc 200 pages. 100 % coton. C'est tres fin donc ca gondole beaucoup, mais ca reviens quasiment a plat en sechant. Le papier supporte plusieurs couches de peinture, le wet on wet, le lifting, le washi tape. Et surtout son grand point fort, le rendu magnifique de l'aquarelle sur ce papier. Je suis amoureux de mon FatBook.

Sooo viele Seiten, auf denen man sich herrlich kreativ austoben kann. Vorder- und Rückseite haben die gleiche Struktur undassen sich prima mit allen Techniken bearbeiten. Sogar Nass in Nass geht man den dünnen Seiten sehr gut! Ich liebe es und würde es immer wieder kaufen.

Bonito papel hecho a mano. Sirve para acuarela. Tiene mucha textura.

Love the handmade paper! Because they are handmade, the paper thickness is quite inconsistent. They don’t handle wet media too well - it bleeds thru but I don’t mind. Beautiful textured papers and it technically has no covers as the thickness of the cover is just the same as the inside so it might not be suitable for plein air paintings.
