Fisher Price - Thomas and Friends Wood Hiro Engine & Car

Shame the 2022 wooden railway series is being discontinued, as I think it produced the best wooden thomas models ever made. Despite the slightly inaccurate wheel config (two small wheels at the front instead of just one), Hiro is much more detailed than his previous wooden variants and I love the face especially.

I was pretty hesitant about spending so much on such a little toy BUT my 2.5 year old loves Thomas and these wooden trains are so sturdy. My son plays with them in his high chair and every now and then I'll hear one fall and SMACK against the floor bar on his high chair and every time they're ok. Perfectly fine. Paint isn't even scratched. Even on the ones I bought from eBay because those characters can no longer be found at regular stores. These trains are worth the money.

the paint quality feels so cheap, uneven and some parts are faded. the wheels are needlessly large, which makes the train unable to pass in some tunnels and bridges that we have from other sets. i bought it during sale at 1/3 of the price; otherwise i would have returned it since it's not worth the full price.

Beautiful train, used as cake topper for large rectangular cake. Loved by 5 year old. Came in a nice package also.

This is the best of the new Thomas Wooden Railway items I've bought so far. Hiro is very well put together, the printing is perfectly straight, and his size makes him very fun to play with. Kudos to Mattel for putting so much thought and care into these new models, I will gladly buy more of these as long as they keep this up.
