Good design Body Fat Scale for multiple users
The media could not be loaded. Short Version==========A well designed body fat scale that not only is pretty accurate but looks to be well made too. The 3 units of measurement, Kg, Lbs, and St/Lbs will satisfy the needs of most users with the scale having a data bank to store measurements and recordings for up to 10 different users, perfect for large households or group of users. The included instructions manual is easy to understand and covers all of the functions and setting up in easy steps. The manual also has some basic charts to help interprate the readings.Presentation============The first thing that you notice when opening up the box is the scales appealing glossy black and silver tempered glass and brushed metal plate and good sized blue backlit LCD screen.I actually like the layout of the two metal sensor areas which not only is modern and without being clinical yet they look like they have a purpose and easy to use rather than trying to be overly pretty which some scales I have had tried tried to do with the sensor areas.Build & Functionality===============The scales have a good weight to them and feel solid and sturdy which gives a reassuring feeling especially as they have a glass platform. On the base of the the scales are 4 feet with rubber soles which will prevent slipping. The scales are powered by 3 AAA batteries which are not included so these to be bought or have in hand before getting to use the scales. To change between units of measurement there is a small button on the base allowing selection of kilograms (kg), pounds (lbs) or stone and pounds (st), at the press of the button. The scale seems accurate enough from using objects that weigh the same across various scales in the house. To get best results using the scales placing them on a hard surface as this will yield better measurements. The numbers are displayed in large enough white bold characters on a blue backlit background which can be seen from standing height so no leaning forward or down is required which could affect correct measurements.Memory======What I really like about these scales is that up to 10 users can have their own profiles to record their progress. Setting up these profiles is straight forward using the touch sensitive buttons on the plate. The profiles can record the user's weight, Fat percentage, body water percentage, Muscle Percentage, Bone Percentage, daily calorie requirement and of course BMI.The personalised profiles can be setup for men or women as well as athletic based men or women, something I haven't seen too often on fat analyser scales. The age range for any profiles is 10 to 80 with persons having a height of between 100cm and 240cm which will cater for a braod range of users.Power & Batteries==============The scales are powered by the three AAA batteries which are not included. The auto power feature is good and will power off the scales after around 60 seconds of inactivity. The scales respond to powering on by applying pressure to the platform so no bending down to turn anything on.

Quality control needs improving
Straight out of the box and unit button does not work so stuck with the default of Kg, may not be an issue for some but as I had spent a lot of time looking for a pair I liked where I could change the display I was disappointed. I spent a while trying to get them to work and changing batteries and noticed the black surface shows finger prints very badly, OK you don't use you hands to weigh but you do need to use bare feet so I suspect that footprints would have the same issue. Had the scales have worked I would have lived with the marks but the scales clearly did not work as described so I have returned them and await my refund. Real shame as this is the first item I have returned to Amazon in years and I order on a regular basis. Not the product fault but I waited in all day for a next day Prime delivery that never arrived.....all in all not a happy customer.UPDATE - To be fair to 1BYone the did take the trouble to read this review and also offered a replacement which was a more expensive at no extra cost. Unfortunately, I had already posted the return and, as I know I can trust Amazon with their returned, I had also ordered, and received, a different set of scales as a replacement. Due to this fact I declined their generous offer but I felt it merited a mention as it looks as though problems would otherwise be resolved quite quickly. As a further note, I have purchased item made by this company before and had no isses.

Saw this on TV, so thought why not
Easy to set up so, and l managed to get the readings for everyone in my family first time, apart from me! it took several attempts. after initally getting my weight, then after the 4 □□□□ counted down the ERROR 2 message kept coming on. I had to Google what 'impedance error' meant, something to do with body fat to muscle and how much water is in your body so the measurements can be taken, l think, anyway, so l took it to mean that l was dehydrated, so l promptly drank some water, well about half a glass, waited about 10 minutes and tried again, but still nothing, then l went to the loo, my weight had gone up by a 1lb by now, then tried again. I also noticed that if l moved my feet back more on the scales so that the balls of my feet were in contact more with the silver plates, all the readings registered. Yay, just have to try and understand what they all actually mean now.

Fast accurate weight measurement but don't buy if you want accuracy from the other functions
The display is nice and clear and, as far as I can tell, the weight measurement is fast and accurate. However, the percentages for body fat, water and muscle add up to more than 100% and my bone density is so low that I shouldn't be able to stand upright without snapping like a twig. Having read up about this type of scales, it seems none of them are especially accurate, even those with handholds. I asked about the percentage inaccuracy and was told to take the batteries out and put them back in again - it didn't make a scrap of difference and I didn't really expect it to. I was offered the chance to get a replacement but decided not to bother since it seemed unlikely that the percentage measurements would improve. However, I did like the scales from an appearance perspective and from the fast and accurate (I believe) weight measurement and I decided to keep them as they're not particularly expensive.

Easy to use
Looks good. I presume it's accurate. It says the same as my old set, whic s a shame as I'd really like it to read less.... Ok, got to work on that.My only negative is that whilst weight is easy to read the additional information isn't. Ok, the numbers are clear, but I can't see what the reading is for unless I crouch down! Update.... You can step off the scale once the weight has registered so it's easier to bend down to read the BMI etc.
