Italian for Beginners: Internet Linked (Language for Beginners Book)

We’re learning Italian as a family with a well known owl app, and this little book has helped us better understand the grammar, which can get confusing at times.

I bought this as I needed to resist an absolute beginners Italian exam and the recommended book was not very good. This book makes it easy to learn new words and has good explanations about differences in masculine and feminine words ect. The audio CD is useful as it allows you to hear how words are pronounced. There are also good visual aids in the book. This book makes learning a language enjoyable.

I purchased this book, as I purchased the same in Spanish when I was learning the language. Thought the Italian version would be as good which it seems as though it is. Although it is more aimed for your children (I am 62 ) I find it keeps you more interested in learning and it is easy to follow the topics.

This is a great book. I have just started learning Italian at a rather late stage in my life and the book we have in class is not easy to use as there are no translations into English. This book however is clear and gives you the basics with good explanations of grammar and pronunciation.Please don't think this is just for children because of the illustrations - they just make the text more easy to understand.

I'm an Italian teacher and I have often struggled to find good beginner's Italian books in the shops. I bought this for my 7 year old pupil, who loves it. But it's equally useful for my older students or even adults. There is lots of essential repetition at the start, and then it slowly introduces the grammar and vocabulary and builds on these gradually. The authors have put some thought into this book. You could either follow it, page by page, since it's presented in a very sensible order, or pick certain pages to focus on. I'm really happy with it.

The book was fine but refers you to websites that no longer available or supported which made hearing pronunciation impossible....

Usbourne language texts, with CD are an excellent kick-start to learning a new language.. The Internet backup facilities are a great boon. It is never too early or late to begin learning something new - and Usbourne's illustrations and texts are so easy to follow.

Simple and nice. it is a very good first step for somebody that is approaching to the language for the first time. I am italian so I can tell that even if it is simple is made in order to make people learn just looking at the illustrations.

Good visual concepts and dialogue for rookie in learning new italian language.

I liked the connection and the cd, i did not like the lots of writings in english near the drawings

format 20x25.3 cm, pas pour mettre dans sa poche. Sous forme de BD.Pas mal mais pas de prononciation et grammaire avant la page 41 et suivantes.Rend service à ceux qui ont de vagues notions pour se débrouiller avec les phrases de bases. Vous permettra d'envisager les situations courantes du touriste voire du convive.Pas reçu cette édition mais une plus ancienne sans les liens annoncés pour internet dans l'aperçu tout en sachant que c'est d'occasion - pas de précision de la date dans l'annonce du vendeur. Texte identique apparemment et peut faire l'affaire mais attention si cela a de l'importance pour vous.Pas mal du tout plutôt que de se compliquer la vie avec une grosse méthode pour pas grand chose.
