Avon Grips Shifter Peg SP-CC-85-CH

After less than 5000 miles of installing this shifter peg and the matching footpegs, all will be removed from my bike this winter. The shifter peg has a wear spot where my boot has worn off all the "grip" on the rubber pattern. I would expect this after 10,000+ miles since it's a rubber wear item and one that gets used heavily obviously, but seeing the sole of my boot wear it away so quickly from downshifting was not expected. I rotated the rubber portion and hid it for now, but I'm seeing as second "bald spot" forming after 1000 miles already.The chrome is high quality from what I can tell, no issues there, but I wish they didn't wear so quickly. I was going to replace these this winter anyhow due to my dislike of how the matching pegs allow my feet to slide from the vibration of riding my (balanced motor) Harley.
