This blanket is quality made, magnets are very strong and has been keeping out the drafty cold air better than I expected. Our fireplace for some strange reason has a weird damper lever adjustment. There is a way to adjust the flow of air out but it can't be adjusted so that it is completely closed, therefor the gap lets in a lot of cold air in the winter. This blanket fits very well and is doing a great job at keeping the cold air out even though there is a small bulging out of the cover (lower right side in the photo) It's not a big problem since I don't really feel any cold air coming in at that area. I believe a couple more strong magnets would solve that issue as several reviewers had mentioned. Despite that, I'm 100 percent happy with my purchase.

This is a well made and sturdy cover. The magnets are strong. It stops the airflow coming from the fireplace into the living room by 95%. It almost fits perfectly. I would highly recommend purchasing this covered for a fireplace.

There are strong magnets at each corner and in the middle of the top and bottom. While maybe some folks would like magnets all along the cover, I did not feel them necessary. I have a combination screen and glass doors on my fireplace. I tried the cover on both the outside and then between the glass and the screen doors. It is very plain and it looked better behind the glass doors. I had to fold down the upper corner magnets to avoid the hinges but it worked fine. The room is noticeably warmer with no drafts. Glad I bought this. It was suggested by an home efficiency person.

Fit perfect based on measurements

I was looking for something to block the smell of smoke that can permeate the house when wild fires surround the valley. This one almost fits perfectly on the inside of my fireplace screen, so I don’t see it, it just blacks out the fireplace screen. It does a great job of not allowing the air conditioning to leak out as well. It is just a tiny bit too big on one side, but it easily is adjusted to work good and look good. The magnets are very strong, the material is thick, and it seems to be very sturdy.

I bought this to reduce the drafts from our fireplace and it does a great job. We needed to purchase Gorilla adhesive Velcro to make it adhere to the bricks.

We over spend on this because we have a gas fireplace and don’t need the fire protection. Not knowing the future thought it was a good investment in case we never need to use the fire protection for other things. Nothing wrong with being prepared. We wanted something that was insulated. Our draft is larger I think than normal wood burning fireplaces. I think it’s 7 or more inches up from the bottom that we can feel the draft from the fireplace screen. Let me explain my reasons for not being a five star. One is not enough magnets we can still feel drafts at the sides and at the bottom. We don’t feel drafts at the top because we had to tuck it under at the top. So yes as noted in the description it’s very foldable. The side have too much of a gap. It only has magnets in the four corners and one in the middle on each side total of eight magnets. Reason two is because in description it’s noted that “ we provide accessories such as glue, iron sheet, etc.,” these accessories should have been shipped with products I feel because other comes with accessories to help with proper fit from other sellers. When we buy things we have to build everything is included. These are pretty expensive compared to others. I understand the cost cut back in case that are not needed. This item for as expensive as it is everything should fit like a glove. Third reason is because it’s not completely sealed up around the fireplace screen it won’t keep out the outside air from entering the home. If it didn’t have the other issues here’s why I would give it five stars. Even though we still feel a draft it has increased the warmth by 11.3 degrees right up against the new fireplace blanket! In the pictures it shows the cold air before installing this awesome cover it was 48.7 and after being installed 24 hours later 60.0 degrees. The 35 and 38 is the degrees inside our garage. It fits perfectly on our 36X30 fireplace. The magnets are strong and you can see where they are located in the picture it’s the corner magnet on the cover. Maybe it will be returned for one that has twelve magnets instead of eight and is least expensive.

This item worked great to keep the cold air out of an old fireplace we can’t use anymore. The draft protection held during the cold and wind of winter. Installation is simple.

If you've got an open fireplace, this is going to be a gamechanger for helping draft issues. We live in a windy area and it can get quite loud, we typically have a towel up the flue anyway but this was the cherry on the cake. Make sure your measurements are proper to start, the magnets fit an almost perfect seal minus the handles on the bottom glass doors which pop out a bit on ours. This has helped with noise, draft reduction and when we shut the fireplace down early if we leave the house, piece of mind knowing no sparks are randomly flying out. Over a year of use and its still in great shape and holding up strong. Well worth the purchase.

This does what it says on the tin. Easy to fix and lasts. I installed this nearly 18 months ago and it’s still hanging tight. It was purchased to cover a fireplace in a rented property. We had removed the mantlepiece and wanted to add a tv unit. This covered the hole left and kept the cold air out. No issues at all with a draught and as it is disguised by the tv you’d not even know it was there.

Il tessuto è rigido e si mantiene da solo, anche perché come potete sentire dall' audio, i magneti sono ottimi e potenti ! Facile da usare e sinceramente anche bello da vedere!!! W amazon !!

I am very happy with the blanket. It seems remiss of the supplier however to not provide magnets that can support it's weight. We have had to find alternat solutions to fix the blanket to our fireplace.
