FurReal Friends StarLily, My Magical Unicorn

I am a collector of unicorns, so when I came across this by accident I just couldn't resist buying it, despite its very hefty price tag. I have to say that compared to other Furreals I've' seen, I'm impressed. This has more movement and responsiveness than any I've come across, it's beautiful to look at and makes lovely sounds. I happen to be visually impaired so I wasn't ever going to be able to use the app as it's inaccessible, I did test it to make sure, I can attest though that you don't need to use it to get plenty of fun out of this thing. One thing, if the sugar berry gets lost it's not too big of a deal, you can feed with your finger, or maybe with a small fruit or vegetable from a farm or feeding playset for animals like the ones Schleich sell. Gentle pressure on the lower jaw is how Star Lily knows she is being fed. Over all a lovely toy and a great addition to my collection.

Well, my 4 years old is amazed with it and her younger brother too. I expected this toy to be only a two days entertainment, however, she plays with it every day since Christmas, with app, or just brushes her hair, talks to her, puts her next to her bed saying Lily guards her from the night monsters. I mean, maybe it isn't much from adults perspective esp if you consider the price but it is a very cute toy that makes funny noises and responds to you that's is enough to make a child happy. I was lucky to buy it with a good discount, so couldn't be more pleased.

Kids love it and it is kind of cute. At the price it is slightly gimmicky IMHO but very pleased as daughter 6 delighted

Wow is all I can say about this magical unicorn. The price tag is a bit too high for something that doesn't do that much if BUT I'm so happy I got this as my daughter is so in love with starlily . She really is magical. .every girl would love this ..best toy so far !!

Extremely beautiful, I bought for my daughters Christmas present and I opened the box to make sure it was with working and I can't get over how beautiful it is, so much detail, the wings flap, the horn lights up and the hoove moves, starlily makes different noises, her fur is so soft my daughter will love it

I was very cynical about spending this much on one toy and told my five-year-old daughter as much when she first asked for it. However, as time went on it became clear that this was no flash-in-the-pan toy request but something she desperately wanted so I gave in (although I did pay less in Black Friday deal). I have to say, I did not have high hopes but have been very impressed. The movements and sounds are impressive and even I find her quite engaging. My daughter was over-the-moon with this!

She is beautiful, my daughter was absolutely thrilled to get this for her birthday and is absolutely in love with her, however, in my opinion, she is WAY over priced, she doesn't really do much except react randomly to being touched and being sung and spoken too. I thought she'd have more specific reactions to certain things but it all seems quite random. She is lovely tho and the look on my daughters face when she opened her made the mental price tag slightly easier to swallow!

Bought for my child at Christmas, and while she thoroughly likes the toy, it has now stopped working for no reason at all. Obviously it's had new batteries but it just will not work or respond. Feed a bit ripped off considering it's not a cheap toy!

This is the only thing my daughter wanted for her birthday. The only thing she talked about and hinted at for 6 months !! All the way up until the day we gave it to her it was all she could think about, she wanted nothing else and all the other gifts she was blessed with paled in comparison to her ! Boy was she lit up like a Christmas tree when she opened this package !! The reason this gets five stars is that it made her the happiest girl on her birthday, plain and simple. Star Lily is cute, super soft to the touch although not too cuddly because she is, after all a robotic doll. Although she doesn't talk she makes plenty of cute sounds and her horn lights up different colors, she bats her eyelashes and opens and closes her eyes are well as moves her head around. My daughter got to play the game on the app and it kept her busy for at least 2 hours at a time ! She is still fairly captivated by this toy even 2 weeks later which says a lot because being 8 now she moves on to the next plaything pretty quick sometimes. I have seen her playing with the doll, talking to her and including her in other playtime activities. I really like that the more you play with her, the more she will respond and do. The song Star Lily "sings" is super cute ! Overall, I would get this again if only to make my little girl happy ! Because she is pleased with it, I am glad I got it. I would have like it better if she came with batteries, especially for the price paid ! So, beware, if you are purchasing, you will need to get your own batteries. It would have been double sweet if she walked, price paid and all. I am not sure how young I would recommend this toy for, it would depend on how responsible your child is and how well they handle their toys, only you would know that. But the wings could get damaged if the child isn't very gentle.

My daughter got this for her 5th birthday and absolutely loves it! We’ll see how she stands up to her rough and tumble nature. StarLily is really soft and sweet sounding, her legs are a little difficult to pose but once you get the hang of it it’s ok. I liked that the book about StarLily says she has delicate butterfly wings and tells the child to be very gentle, this actually made sense to my daughter and so far has treated her carefully.
