This is easy to assemble. It is just 4 pieces that slide into each other. It is lightweight and portable. If you take it to a building that has different stair tread heights than your own home, it is easily adjustable. My building has an elevator, but I wanted this to use when we have a tornado warning and I need to go downstairs and avoid the elevator. I have nerve damage in my legs and sometimes I need a cane for stabilization. So this works out great for me. However, I think that if you need a Mobility Assistance device every day, like a walker, this is not going to work out for you. It will give you stability, but you still must have the leg strength to navigate stairs. I bought this on sale - it was approximately 47% off its regular price. I don’t think I would have purchased it at the full price as it does seem to be overpriced. I think it is good value when it is on sale.

This item is a perfect alternative to a wall-mounted railing. I have a railing on only one side of the stairs in my house which is not enough for me following ankle fusion surgery - this item works just as well as a second railing would. I find it to be very sturdy and love that it's portable and adjustable for other staircases in other places. It is lightweight, easy to take apart and reassemble or to adjust the height without any tools. It is expensive but worth it, at least for me.

This is an outstanding invention for people with mobility problems. Well worth buying. Stairs are no longer scary: no more wobling about teetering on the edge of a cane praying you wont fall with every step. This totally replaces the need for a handrail, so can be used on any staircase because it is adjustable. Very stable. So lightweight it can even be disassembled and packed for travel. Quality craftsmanship as well. You won't regret the purchase and will be asking yourself why someone didn't make one of these sooner.

This is so helpful for getting up and down stairs safely with a broken leg. So much more stable than the crutches. It is adaptable to your own staircase, so easy to set up.
