I discovered Citric acid for descaling about 2 years ago, now I use nothing else. Even the chemicals available don't do as good a job on the kettle and toilets - we live in a very hard water area and so we get a lot of scale. A tablespoon of citric acid into the kettle, which should already have hot (not boiling) water in it, the citric acid is activated - bubbles begin and you just leave it for half an hour, or longer if needed to do its work, pour contents out and rinse - kettle gleaming, and using an environmentally safe product. I would definitely buy again from this supplier - you get a decent quantity for a fair price.

I have been using this to create my own cleaning products which are more eco-friendly. I’ve found it really effective for cleaning and particularly good at removing limescale. This pack is a really good quantity and is good value for money when compared with how much you pay for other cleaning products. The packet itself is slim so doesn’t take up too much space in the cupboard. The citric acid is in very small granule form which means it dissolves really quickly when making your own mixes up. Would buy again.

Good value compared to little containers. I use it as a descaler for taps, shower heads and kettle etc., It works really well and does not harm the environment, unlike its chemical counterparts.

Citric Acid is useful in a variety of ways, I favour it as a descaler for my kettle, it is odourless and non toxic. I also use it as an ingredient in my home made cordials and it has worked perfectly. I recommend this product and this seller without reservation.

I needed some citric acid to clean out the drains/pipes on my motorhome. This was a great price for a 1kg bag (enough for a few years of usage in my case) and has done the job. No more nasty smells from the plug holes. Sturdy and resealable bag too - so should store well...

This stuff is awesome, it's the bee's PJ's for cleaning without nasty chemicals! I live in a very hard water area and had heard this stuff being recommended for descaling kettles...I was sceptical as we all get sucked into these things that don't actually work BUT this does work!!! I let the kettle boil then added a few little scoops (each scoop being a tbsp) left it for about a half hour and was fully expecting to be disappointed upon opening the lid but I really couldn't believe my eyes, it was like a new kettle! Thought I'd try it on a very old stainless steel sink (wish I'd done before and after photos!) sprinkled this stuff around, left it for a while and set to work with a plastic scourer and years of stains that other products just won't touch just disappeared before my eyes! Honestly if you don't believe me get a small bag and just try it for yourself! Because of the hard water soap scum build up is really hard to shift, again tried loads of products that don't work despite their claims, made a paste with this stuff (just adding a little water so it stayed on the plastic scourer) scrubbed at the soap scum on a china sink and you could just see it running away! This is my go to cleaner now and so nice not to be using nasty chemicals and this stuff helps keep drains from smelling too. Apparently you can clean the washing machine with it as well so thats the next test :o)

I get rarely write a review but this may help someone’s sanity!.. When l moved to another property, the last thing l expected was to come across to the toilet bowl.. If l opened the lid of the toilet during the viewing, l would run away from the flat.. The bowl looked as if it had not been cleaned since the Victorian times.. 💩🤮🦠The build up of limescale and grime could make me fall in to tears, l was so shocked that l couldn’t even cry.. I have never seen a toilet in which all you could see is the shades of yellow and brown,but not a slight sign of white..When l didn’t have much hope but still felt that l had to try cleaning it, before asking for professional help, l came across to this product.l used it on 3 consecutive nights overnight and finally have a toilet that can be used without any horror and disgust and could have guest using without any embarrassment. It has no odour. It modestly do the job. I like it so much that l have bought another bag and will be using it, as l have the feeling that due to the awkward design of the toilet bowl, there must be still unseen build-up at the back that needs resillient attention. A big lesson learned :never hesitate to check the toilet bowl, when you are viewing a new property with the intention to live there. Do not assume that everyone is toilet- trained!..
