Near perfect substitute for egg yokes, I'd definitely recommend.
Tastes almost like real egg yoke. It's really amazing and tasty. I failed to make it right on my first try, didn't add enough powder but on my second try it was near perfect!! I love that there's all these amazing alternatives for us vegans now, I never could find anything like this in the "old" days and people always laughed at me when I wanted to order something meat free but now I can even find a substitute for eggs!!! It's hard to believe sometimes. This substitute is the closest I've ever tasted which is almost like egg yokes in taste and I say "almost" cause its not completely there in my opinion but its VERY close and I don't think it's that easy to find a better product.

Vegan? Allergic to eggs? This Vegg is the answer, delicious and best of all..totally cruelty free !!!
O M G !! This is amazing !!!! I was vegan for many years, many years ago. There were no specialized product replacements in those days so you literally lived on vegetable items which, although tasty and healthy, became boring after a while. For whatever reasons, that I won't go into, I slipped and began eating meat and animal products again. I have now returned to veganism as my conscience has finally become stronger than my taste buds and selfishness, again. One of the foods that I missed was an egg, a yolk to be more precise. I recently purchased this item from Amazon and my goodness (literally) I have discovered this absolute gem. I cannot explain just how exactly, this tastes and feels like a soft boiled egg yolk!! A simple 30 second preparation gives you the most delicious treat for dipping your bread or toast into!! Measure 1/8th cup of warm water (1-3/4 TBLspoons) into a small container, stir in 1/2 teaspoon of the Vegg mix and blend together well for 30 seconds. Delicious !! Nectar !! Ambrosia !! No cooking necessary, even a child can make this! I am in seventh heaven and along with items to replace meats from a company called Vegusto I will no longer feel the need to slip again and can continue to respect other creatures on this planet. The price may seem a little higher than actual eggs, but remember that this carton will make at least 99 'V-eggs' ! In any case, what price a poor chicken's life ? Highly, highly recommended. Whatever your reasons for not eating eggs; allergies, conscience or moral beliefs, this is THE ingredient for you.

Looks the part but the taste isnโt great
This has the potential to be a really good product but needs some tweaking. Unfortunately it really does not taste of egg yolk. It looks the part and the texture is pretty spot on but the taste and smell are pretty awful tbh. Unlike real egg yolk it is really quite pungent, Iโm guessing due to black salt which makes it really salty and eggy whereas real egg yolk is neither salty or eggy. Also, instead of being rich and buttery it is really watery in flavour. Remove the black salt, tone down the nutritional yeast and up the fat content and the product would be good I think. It is expensive but a little goes a long way so I would say that the price is very fair.

Now there is no going back - it tastes just like egg yolk and takes no time to prepare and ...
OMG I have eggs back in my life! We have been vegetarians for many years - me since 1983 and my partner about the same. We decided to live a vegan lifestyle since last July (2014). I missed eggs so much that it was almost impossible to not eat them. My partner said 'look on line there must be other vegans who miss eggs, there must be some sort of alternative'. So I did look on line and thank goodness found Vegg. Now there is no going back - it tastes just like egg yolk and takes no time to prepare and cook. I put one or two teaspoons in a deep basin mix with about two or three tabs water - you will need to blend this with a hand blender until the mixture looks smooth (adjust the amount of water to your liking) and then pop into the microwave for 45secs and its done! I have had Vegg with toast, dippy Vegg with bread and butter for breakfast, and with chips and will try an omelette soon. If like me you miss the egg yolk taste - you must try this. Thank you so much to the person who invented this product.

This product is unbelievable. Such a game changer!
When making the switch to vegan, for some people it is difficult to leave things like eggs behind. But this product changes things entirely. Now I can make scrambled tofu much more egg like, an incredibly realistic hollandaise and bring the egg flavour back to my vegan carbonara pasta. Seriously, this product is excellent. Also it should be noted that although expensive, there are 200 servings in one packet - so thatโs actually a fantastic deal.

It's a good idea but it tastes rotten.
Since transitioning to a mostly vegan diet, boiled eggs are the food I miss the most so when I saw this had 4 stars I was looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, it tastes and smells like rotten eggs. I'm not at all a fussy eater, I usually like anything. I didn't want to waste it so I've tried adding different things to it to take the disgusting aftertaste away - acid, oat cream, salt - but nothing works. I wish I did like it because I can't find any other substitute for boiled yolks.

Very nice
Been wanting this for ages after trying it a few years ago. Hard to source in uk. Contacted the manufacturers and asked when will it be available they said sending to amazon in week, true to their word they did. Its more expensive then it used to be and the packaging is different. It used to be in a tube which actually was hard to access the stuff through the hole so the packet is easier although i wonder whether it will stay fresh and free from moist in the bag, time will tell, i guess you have to make double sure the bag is sealed after opening and using each time. I just like it for the taste to drizzle on breakfast although used it in making a vegan gluten free omelette and going to use it in tofu scramble. I'm not adventurous with it but i like it, tastes nice, easy to use. Very happy with it for what i want it for. So good vegan products are available and happy its in the uk. Thanks

Most accurate vegan replacement I've tried
I've been vegan for two years and have tried dozens of imitation meats, cheeses, eggs, etc -- and Vegg Yolk is the most realistic of them all. The first time we tried it, my wife and I sat around debating if there was any way it could be actual egg. It's just that good! The flavor, texture, consistency, richness is all spot on for a runny egg yolk. I really can't say enough good things about it -- I'm still blown away that recreating egg yolk this accurately is possible. If you check out the Vegg website, don't be intimidated by all the complicated recipes for making full eggs or making the yolk round and breakable. I'm sure they're great if you have the skill, but they're not required for an amazing runny yolk on its own. All you need is a blender, microwave, and 3 minutes. It actually took longer to make my toast than the egg yolk! One batch is the perfect amount for two slices of toast, but the bag recommends making two batches so it blends properly. I put the extra in the fridge, and it reheated perfectly in the microwave the next day, no re-blending required. If you're on the fence, try it. More people need to know about this stuff.

Amazing for tofu scramble
Add it in to your tofu scramble in the last minute and it'll warm through and give an eggy texture and taste.

Best Egg Yolk Available!
Okay, so I think there is something like 200 servings in a bag and I can go through a bag in 2 weeks (breakfast lunch and dinner its that good). Flavor is SPOT ON. If you read the directions it says to blend it to get a perfect texture, I don't do that because I am lazy and the texture is still good if you wisk/fork it, it just doesn't look as good. I've noticed if I make a larger bath and I save the left overs, overnight they mix together to get that perfect look and feel, but again, you don't need to. THIS STUFF IS AWESOME. I eat mine with Smartlife bacon and Beleaf fried egg for the best vegan breaky out there. Seriously, GIVE THIS A TRY.

Brings you right back to the flavor of rich egg yolks
I froze half-spheres of the prepared yolk, browned them between slices of tofu, then finished them in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Since prepared it does not solidify, this enabled me to create a vegan runny egg which I put on a bagel. It was fantastic. I used a little garlic powder and a little extra Himalayan black salt for more of an eggy taste. But prepared, the yolk has a silky rich texture and flavor just like an egg yolk. I will always have the stuff on hand! It is also great prepared, warmed up and just used to dip toast. Great product.
