I bought this a long with the stand for my BF for Christmas! He's a major Jurassic Park fan and loved it. His favorite part is that the bug is real and not some 3d etched fake mosquitoe. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The Pros: The 3D bug looks real and I really love the amber color. No makers marks on the piece. The Cons: It has an unsightly seam right above the bug. It's a lot bigger than the prop used in the film. Final Thoughts: I was originally going to give this 3 stars because of the seam but I did purchase it on sale. Might end up sending it back, I'm still debating on that.

I saw several versions of this item sold by other sellers, but after reading the reviews here and the ones from other sellers, it was obvious that this one has a stronger edge to it, and I'm so glad I landed on this one as it's just perfect. The packaging is break-proof, which is critical for such item. The size of the egg and the mosquito is large enough to catch the eye. The amber color of the egg is surreal and the quality of mosquito 🦟 inside is perfect. The mosquito size, the details, and the real-life accuracy are very clear and double down for this item as a good educational piece, conversation piece, and kids entertaining piece. I highly recommend this item.

J’ai craqué pour ce « faux fossile » façon Jurassic Park, et je dois dire que je ne suis pas déçu. Très belle qualité de finition, l’objet est lourd, bien stable, et vraiment esthétique, surtout quand on le place sous le bon éclairage. Le moustique est immense ! Impressionnant à voir de près (et heureusement que ce genre de bestiole n'a pas survécu 😅). On remarque, selon la lumière, une fine ligne qui trahit un coulage en deux temps de la résine, mais rien de gênant à mes yeux. Le rendu reste top. Para fans de Jurassic Park: es un artículo indispensable!!! ...aunque si me pongo muy-muy exquisito y exigente: se le nota una ligera línea divisoria en el "ámbar", que delata el proceso de vaciado de la resina (en dos etapas) para encapsular el mosquito, pero fuera de eso es realmente precioso!!
