Model DS101 C major beginner level Shinobue Japanese bamboo flute

I never write reviews , but i thought it was a must for this. I ordered this flute along with the c sharp and its the best 20 quid I've spent! It arrived 5 days before the estimated delivery date. Very easy to pick up the basics. If you can play a note on a beer bottle, you will get the hang of it in no time. I can't wait to get the intermediate version try some other instruments from carrot music. Nothing bad to say, very pleased!

this was bought as a gift for my son in law and he was very pleased with it, haven't heard it being played yet but guess we will as he is very musical. It looked a very good product

Quick postage. It was a birthday present for my son and he loves it.

Difficult to play. Is something missing to be able to play properly ? I wanted to use it with a Taiko group but it's impossible.

This took a while to get used to ; at first I found it difficult to get even a sound out of it , but having persisted it seems to have 'worn in' and I can now get tunes out of it . It's more suitable for somebody with big hands ; you need quite a good reach to cover all the holes well . The instrument itself is very attractive and made from a very nice 'ornate bamboo' .
