The unit takes an SD card & a USB memory stick- you have to supply those yourself.Nice little gadget all round to enable digi channels on the old tv's.Don't attach it to a new model tv that already has digi channels - I did, & they clashed, it is definitely to be used for the advertised purpose.And I found the company really good to help with queries once I had bought it.Good luck!

i do not know if this box has a signal booster i do not think so.

Can your unit be used on a plasma monitor. Does it tune analagoue channels

The unit tunes to digital channels for the old style non digital tv's. I put mine in a digital tv & had problems with it, I think the two digital units clashed with one another. Then I put it in the old analogue tv and it works fine. That is the purpose it was designed for. The type of screen should not make any difference, but if you have a plasma tv, I guess that means it receives digital channels, and that may clash with the unit, like it did with my digital tv. I think you should check with the supplier. They are very nice & helped me a lot.

can I press record, then adjust the record time up to any amount of hours? for example, 6-7 hrs. or is the max record-only time limited to 2 hrs ?

I haven't used timer. I've got 64G stick so I just press record and it stops when programme ends.
