Allergy free
I like this particularly because it is fragrance free which is essential for me. The other advantages of it being all in one washing powder/softener and no skin irritants is also brilliant. It's eco friendly for washing at temperature 40 degrees, as well as no surfactants in waste water. The only thing to be aware of is that some biological stains such as blood/ curry etc will need pre soaking for complete removal but I can live with those few occasions which are far outweighed by the advantages cited above. I have been using these "eggs" for a few years now and have family and friends happily converted too!

Ecoegg convert.
After reading many good things about Ecoegg I thought I would give it a try.The instructions are well written and easy to follow. As the instructions state, I found that my washing machine gave off a musty smell after using the ecoegg due to laundry product build up and the lack of masking fragrance so I gave my machine several good cleans ( it is quite old) by adding white vinegarwhich is available from the cleaning section in shops( not white malt vinegar) to the fabric softener compartment and adding half a bag of washing soda( very inexpensive to the drum and running on a 90 degree long wash . I also cleaned out the soap draw and the door seals with white vinegar. After repeating a few times my machine was nice and fresh smelling and remains so. If your machine is quite new a single cleaning cycle would suffice.I use my ecoegg for all of my washes and have been really pleased with the results For heavy stains I will add some stain remover and I always add 2 table spoons of wasing soda to soften the water and reduce limescale buildup. I also still use a light fragranced eco softener to add a fragrance to my laundry( I use the fragrance free ecoegg). My cloths are less creased and nice and soft and I am making a good saving from not using laundry liquid.

My foray into the world of eco-friendly products has been a success!
I wanted a green alternative to standard detergent & softner. This takes less space to store, wastes less on packaging and is cheaper. Most importantly, clothes are clean. In addition, fragrance free is pleasant for a change and it works great for my 18 month olds sensitive skin. My only questions: Is softener meant to something you add or not? Can it be used with Vanish Whitner?

Worked wonders for our toddler's Eczema
As with so many skin conditions, there are many triggers and finding and elimintaing the causes can be tricky. Our toddler son appeared to develop an allergen triggered eczema following a change of washing powder on a holiday to France (having already suffered with sensitive skin) and despite returning to our normal washing powder on our return, it continued to worsen. The doctors prescribed an emolient, which did help calm our son's discomfort but did little to reduce the eczema. After researching eczema on the internet (and feeling we had eliminated other allergen causes), we came across the Ecoegg. We immediately stopped using washing powder or fabric softener and within 3 weeks, my son's eczema had calmed down signifcantly. Now, 7 months on, it has almost disappeared and the dry skin is under control with the emolient. Use of washing powder (e.g. if he wears something washed at the grandparents) does aggravate his skin, so we now rely on the Ecoegg as a means of control. The Ecoegg is very cost effective vs washing powder and does clean well, so it is an all round win for us!As with other reviews, if you miss the fragrance associated with fabric softener, then a few drops of an essential oil in the softener drawer works a treat. If you suffer with Eczema and haven't yet found something that works, then I highly recommend giving the Ecoegg a go.

Revolutionised washing
I saw these on a tv programme about living more sustainably and then my sister said they worked, and they are amazing. The washing is just as clean as before and the egg takes up no space, will last for months and saves me lots of money. Not only is the product better for the environment, but it is also saving on all the plastic and cardboard packaging of my usual brands. I just don’t know why everyone doesn’t use them.

Good product
The used product arrived safely with damaged packaging as described which was fine! I was just a hit disappointed to find enough pellets for 140 washes as the description stated although it was used it had only been used a few times. Apart from that though I was very pleased with it.

Fantastic if used as instructed
This is a great product. We have been using it for a month now and it cleans our clothes fine and leaves them smelling cleaned. We pick unfragranced so cannot comment on fragrance but I do know its cleaning well. You should not use it above 60c temperature water and you should not overload the washing machine or use it to clean heavily stained/dirty garments. I also don't leave the egg in the machine between washes, I put it to dry out in the egg holder (bought separately); I would imagine leaving it in the machine might not be good for it. For us, we clean at 40c generally or lower and we know to put a prewash or added cleaner in for heavily soiled items. Great value and saves us £££s plus environment and feel happier knowing its not full of awful chemicals. A win all round!

Eco washing
I use these eggs for washing all the time. The only issue I have is that for some reason the little white pellets don't last as long as they used to - I had one of these eggs about 4 years ago and it lasted ages, but even though they still last ages, I'm not sure it will do 720 washes as it claims to. I think it'll do around 600 without fail, which is still a great deal.

Wirklich gutes Produkt

and they're great, wonderful for sensitive and baby skin
Started using these in England, and they're great, wonderful for sensitive and baby skin, much less to carry (versus heavy detergent full of chemicals), and fragrance free if you want. They do offer fragrances as well, but with asthma I shy away from it. Everything is clean with no residue left behind like some detergents I've tried, and it's a great alternative! Every now and then (6 months or so, depending on how much you wash obviously) you open the egg up and put in a new packet of detergent 'beads' - little spheres of basically Borax, and you're good to go for ages more. Something about the tourmaline spheres and the Borax lifts dirt out in the wash, their website probably tells you exactly how. All I know is with an infant in cloth diapers and all our household laundry this genius little device was/is a godsend. Bought one for my Mom as well, and she throws in some scented fabric softener as she likes the perfumed bed linens. We both couldn't be happier with it, and it's good to know there's no need for her to lug heavy detergent downstairs anymore. I don't know why I hadn't heard of these things years ago!!! Definitely recommend to everyone. (And no, I don't work for them, just really love this thing)

I don't understand it; but it works
Read the mixed reviews but since I need fragrance free detergent decided to give it a try. Honestly did not expect it to work; but it does! I don't know exactly how its possible; but my clothes, towels and even the dirty cleaning rags at the end of week come clean. I do use washer balls, an eco bleach and white vinegar for softener, but when I very first tried the egg, did not use any of that. Even my husbands smelly workout clothes came out fresh and clean. As for the suds "issue" that people complain about, a lot of natural shampoo/soaps do not suds up. Manufacturer Additives cause the suds these days just to make people comfortable. But for my family at least, it has worked very well.
