I can't comment on the lamp life as I have just received them. They do look like a great quality build. I do have large hands with sausage fingers and had no issues with inserting the gu10 led bulbs. It's important to use the correct size Philips screwdriver and not a pozidrive to open the lamp. If you don't know the difference then you risk damaging the screws.

This is my 3rd purchased of spike lights, the previous 2 sets leaked very quickly after installation despite being the same IP rating as these; one set i bought were £45 each! I purchased this as a friend recommended them to me; he has had these for over 5 years and none have leaked. Comparing to the previous lights (which leaked) these are far superior in quality and ironically are the cheapest! I haven't had any rain yet and they haven't been fitted long so i cant tell for sure if they will leak but I am assuming they wont as my friend's haven't.

These are very nice and look decent quality however the description needs to be clear that this is only the lights and they are not joined. You or an electrician will need additional pieces to finish these like a junction box or IP rated T connectors and possibly more cable. I assumed purchasing 3 would have meant they were joined but they were not.

Ordered 9 of these over the years and they've never let me down. As an alternative to HUE spots which are very pricey, but these, add the HUE GU10 bulbs and away you go. Simple. The fitting is fine, read an odd review stating it's too tight and that they don't have big hands (they look big!) well I do have big hands and had no issues. Had 6 of these in the garden for two years, no faults or water ingress, just added more and expect no issues.

Great for lighting individual plants, trees, shrubs or just highlighting your garden, well made and safe to operate and are great value.

I have 7 of these dotted around my garden. They were used by my landscaper when our garden was built 11 years ago. They’re exposed to some brutal weather and I have never had one fail. However, the black paint does eventually come off and what is exposed beneath is rather unsightly. For this reason, I have (or rather choose) to replace them after 4 or 5 years. I could probably rub them down and re-paint them but at well under £10 each, it isn’t worth the hassle. I also observe that the brackets and the inner workings get pretty rusty and manky, so regular replacement is probably no bad thing from a safety viewpoint.

Generally positive in terms of product quality and sturdiness, but after foxes chewed the cables I realised they were non-replaceable, so I've removed a star for not being fully serviceable. The remaining lamp has been outside for about a year now and is still going strong (snow, rain, hosepipe), so I can attest to the IP rating being genuine.

Very good product, well made, I bought 6 and intend on buying another 6. Each individual light has approximately 2 metres of cable. Product does not come with bulb or plug so remember that’s an additional cost. Only negative is I found it difficult to insert bulb, I bought GU10 colour which give me a range of colours to choose from and look lovely on an evening, would recommend.
