This is our second one of these we have purchased. The quality of materials and workmanship is great! Comes with good instructions and everything is labeled well. Very easy installation on my truck! Great value for the money! Unless you just have to have a certain name on your winch this is the way to go! Great weight capacity and line capacity! Has no problem pulling me out of tough spots. Pulls my truck even with all four wheels locked. The winch appearance is very rugged and well built! My trucks bumper has it mounted behind where it can't be seen but it is out in the oopen on our Jeep and looks right at home for an off-road setup!

Got it to work, works quicker than an older winch I had (different model) Assembled according to instructions and does not pull only makes noise. Checked wiring, battery and assembly. Will probably send it back if I cant get it going in the next couple of days. Will update review if I get it to work or get a response from manufacturer.

This is my third Rugcel win… Fit perfect, easy to install, it was under $400

Had the winch for 1 year, then the free spool/disengage lever froze up and only turns hard and will not lift or return to engage or disengage the winch motor to the spool. This makes the winch mostly useless for normal off road use. All of the screws/bolts are NOT stainless steel, they rust too. The paint has peeled off. Sorry I trusted the reviews, this is junk. 7/2025 update - finally got email from manufacture, they sent parts diagram of some winches so I can pick out the parts needed to replace the clutch assembly and get me a price for the parts as the warranty is only 1 year ( winch broke at 11 months but it has taken this long to hear back). I will see what it costs to fix and if it works. Suspect a new winch from a different brand may be what happens. UPDATE - 9/2025 Finally heard from manufacture in China (after posting this review), I listed the parts needed to possibly fix it myself, they charged me for parts & shipping, waited 4 weeks, but sent only some of the parts (from China). Critical parts not sent. Contacted them about this and no response. So be aware if the winch works great, when it breaks your not getting any REAL support or service from them. Save you money and get a different brand. Too bad most (if not all) are made in China.

Only grabbed this winch for the gym’s back lot so staff could yank stuck delivery trucks out of the mud by the dumpster. First week, I mounted the control box and the holes on top of the winch didn’t line up, so the bolts cross threaded right away. That already annoyed me. Control box is half exposed, rain hit it during a storm while i was training a client, and the next day it was dead. No power. I emailed support, they basically sent me a link to buy another control box for a couple hundred. When it did spool in and out during testing it worked nice, but when a protein shake truck actually got stuck, the winch did nothing.

The box had a warning, team lift recommended. This winch probably weighs over 50 pounds. Seems built to handle a lot of weight. The manual leaves much to be desired. There are parts in the picture of what is included, but not shown in the assembly. The control box that sits on top is well documented, however, I could only get 3 of the screws to line up. Also, the cable plate that guides and protects the synthetic rope is different than the one shown and does not attach to the winch. I landed up buying the optional base that had mounting holes for the plate. There are none on the winch. The plate in the manual uses two mounting holes, the one I got uses four, but there is only hardware for two. I should mention, I am using this on a trailer, not on a vehicle. I am happy with the winch so far, even though I had to spend an extra $100 for the base. I haven't mounted it yet (paid extra to have the base expedited.) so I can't rate it on actual performance, but I have high expectations.

I do a lot of off-roading, which means getting stuck in mud is almost guaranteed sooner or later. My friends always laugh when it happens, but since I got this winch I don’t stress anymore. It’s strong, quick, and really steady. What surprised me most is how quiet it runs. Unlike other winches that squeak and grind, this one works so smoothly it feels effortless. The waterproof design is another big plus. I once got caught in heavy rain and ended up buried in a muddy pit. The winch was completely soaked, and I honestly thought it might fail. Instead, it powered through like nothing had happened and pulled my car out with no trouble at all. That gave me a lot of confidence in its reliability. Now I don’t hesitate to take on tougher tracks. This winch has turned those frustrating moments into just another part of the adventure. If you spend time off-road, it’s the kind of gear that makes the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.

Questo verricello è arrivato in un imballaggio molto sicuro ed è stato facilissimo da installare sul mio veicolo. La guida passacavo si è montata subito senza problemi di spazio o necessità di rifilature. Il verricello si è adattato direttamente ai fori dei bulloni preesistenti, anche lì senza alcun problema. Il passaggio dei cavi di alimentazione è stato piuttosto semplice e il collegamento alla batteria è stato facilissimo. I telecomandi hanno funzionato perfettamente.
