Landmann 11507 New Tennessee Broiler Charcoal Barbecue - Black

This is an excellent BBQ. Really sturdy. The access panel at the front allows access to the coals without the need to open the lid which is ideal for slow cooking. The adjustable height for the coal tray is also really handy for managing temperature. I was easily able keep the BBQ at or around 120 degrees for 5-6 hrs whilst cooking ribs.Assembly was a little tricky but not as bad as other reviews suggested in my opinion. The issue is that the parts are not numbered so it’s quite easy to put the side panels on the wrong way around (which I did). It’s the first step but you won’t notice you got it wrong until you try and put the coal tray in towards the end. This meant i had to take it apart and start over. Tip: the sides have a metal spur at the top of one end. This needs to be at the front of the BBQ!All in all though, great product for the price and good all round BBQ. Definitely recommend

I was a bit dubious about buying this having looked at some of the reviews suggesting it was difficult to put together. I needn't have worried, so long as you take your time and read the instructions it's dead easy and all you need is a couple of spanners and a Philips screwdriver.Very well made BBQ which I expect will give good service if looked after properly. It cooks really well too and represents really good value for money.

First of all, this is a really sturdy barbecue and far better than anything I have had previously. I expect it will last for years, especially since I bought the appropriate cover for it. However, as others have stated it's a bit of a nightmare to assemble. This is probably due to the lack of real instruction in the 'instructions'. I thought I had done a reasonably good and efficient job of assembling it until I noticed that some parts on the photograph were in a different position to the way they were on mine. I then realized that I had assembled the parts wrong. It isn't too obvious from the instructions,but I had to disassemble it and reassembled it as it should be. The only other difficulty that I had was that the bolt that should fit through the holes on the lugs between the main frame and the moving lid would not align, but I managed to improvise with other bolts I had in my toolbox.All in all a very good buy and it looks great once assembled. Having endured the MFI and IKEA years I found this quite difficult to assemble, but I am delighted with it now it is done. Would recommend it to anybody looking for a decent barbecue at a reasonable price.

Received my BBQ and got straight on, putting it together. Easy to follow instructions and all most quality product. The handle which makes the coal tray go up and down was the problem. The nut which the threaded handle goes into was poorly made. At the end of the nut which has been brazed together with the plate, had to much brazing on it and this obscured the hole so much that the threaded handle would not go through the nut completely to send the tray up or down. Luckily I had a relative who managed to rethread the hole and allow the handle to come through. Otherwise I would have had to not use the bbq and sort out with the helpdesk getting a new item. Just what you don't want to be doing when you have bought a expensive item and you can not use it.

Doesn't fix together. Terrible product. Going straight back to Amazon.

Bought for my husband. Very impressed no missing parts. It took us about 3 hours to put together but all the parts were well labelled and instructions easy to follow. Hope weather picks up soon so we can actually use it

Well, that was fun!! It took me almost two hours to assemble at a gentle pace, I didn't need a second pair of hands. You will need spanners, which don't come with the kit. I don't know, I can imagine some people getting annoyed, but it was like a big puzzle to put together. Once up, yeah, feels really solid, good quality. But yeah, totally missing a handle to move it around, what an oversight by the manufacturer - that's why it gets four stars. I'll update tomorrow once we've lit her up!Update: alright, so we had the BBQ going last night, for a party of ten people, it was just about the right size for ten burgers and other things around, like corn on the cob. The ability to lift the coals was awesome. I've washed it this morning, was easy to clean, easy enough that we're going to light her up again this evening. So yeah, I'm keeping with the four stars - just missing that side handle for a 5/5

What a fantastic barbecue. Others have said it's tricky to put together, be we didn't find it so, although there are certain times you really need two people. The cooking area is a great size and the ability to move the coals up and down is excellent. The ask tray is so convenient for easy emptying/cleaning. The two side 'tables' are really sturdy.We got our a week ago and have already had 3 barbecues (would have been more except for the rain).For the cost this is a quality bit of kit. Husband now searching for some pork belly to smoke. Told him he had plenty to render down if he wanted. He took it well ;-)
