Great for grinding concrete and cleaning up old thinset
I had to do some serious concrete removal, to do floor prep for tile on 2 separate areas that were previously separated by a wall during remodel. I had an old worn out one and wanted new to clean up the thin set from the removed tile. Great job cleaning the thin set. I had to grind down as much ad 1.5 inches in some spots. 1/3 inch or less, I just used the grinding wheel. for the higher areas I made a level jig, and scored it with a 14" diamond blade and jack hammered some out. I'm not sure if that saved my time or not as the grinding wheel did very well. The score lines gave me a achieved depth indicator. I bought 2, as the price was right, but I'm not even close to wearing out the first, after "days" of grinding. it performed very well. It's definitely not a job for the feint of heart. The price was way better any any box store or harbor freight alternative. For minor leveling and cleaning up removed tile thin set residue this made short work of it. I tried a dust collector which was a waste of time. A helper with a light mist from a hose worked great keeping the dust down and did not make much of a mess.

It works!
Using this to clean up mortar from where the contractors built a cinder block wall too high. After knocking the block loose and removing it, this does a great job of getting rid of the extra mortar. Two words of advice though. When using it, try to position the wheel to "come off" an edge, not spinning where it could catch an edge. Second, do it on a breezy day, or wear a mask. The ground mortar will create a cloud that lingers around you, or at least use a cheap, junky fan. Can't comment on longevity yet, as I have only cleaned up about 20 feet of block, but even after that, the disc shows no wear.

Seems to work well, but took WAY longer than advertised to be delivered
The grinding wheel seems to work quite well. Would have rated the product with five stars if only for the product itself. Unfortunately this item seemed to get lost or misplaced in transit such that a replacement was ordered because the item was WAY behind expected delivery date... At the moment, I can't recall who was the seller, Amazon or a third party. From what I've read/heard, it's not uncommon for items that are supposedly 'available next day' with prime to be delivered several days later... So, think twice if you're making a purchase decision based upon the expectation that what you are buying will be delivered tomorrow... If you NEED it tomorrow I'd recommend just going to your local store and get what you need and not have your project/progress delayed. One more thing that shouldn't be understated: (and I don't recall seeing anything with the unit) be sure to wear proper breathing and eye and ear protection when using a grinder wheel to grind concrete, stone or nearly any other material. Lungs, eyes and ears aren't replaceable items - spend some $ to protect yourself. Once you've lost functionality of any of those parts, you'll wish you had. Also do your (own) research on what constitutes proper protection - a $5-10 mask isn't likely to be adequate protection. One more thing that comes to mind regarding this unit is that, when first used, it seemed to run smoother than after a little while. All parts appear to be intact and undamaged, but it doesn't seem to run quite as smoothly when in contact with the surface being ground as when new. I suppose it's possible that the wheel could have gotten slightly bent during use, but I don't recall any particular incident that would have caused an issue. Wil have to check it for run-out at the face and edge to see if that's the cause, which seems likely, given that the vibration seems to be much worse when it's in contact with a surface being ground. At this point it's too early to say what the cause is without a detailed check - it could even be the grinder itself - the spindle (let's hope not)

Gets the job done
This worked just fine. It's easy to install on a seven inch grinder, and removed the thin set without issue. I only needed it for a one-off job. I cannot comment on how long the item will last.
