Drakkar Noir By Guy Laroche - Iconic Designer Fragrance - Intense & Powerful Eau de Toilette

I have loved this perfume; it has quite a distinctive aroma. I get plenty of compliments and am asked what perfume it is. It is best value in the large container. The packaging is attracive in the bathroom too.

Love the smell of this Eau de toilette but do wish the fragrance stay around a lot longer.

Reviews describe this as a barbershop or classicaly masculine fragrance, simply put it smells like you have used a shaving soap and applied it with the little shaving brush, with a touch of spice and talcum powder. Literally how you would imagine you would smell after going to a barber for a shave and a haircut on the 80's or 90's. I got into fragrances in the mid 90's in my teens when lynx wasn't good enough anymore. So if you have tried old spice or even brut you will be familiar with this style of scent. It's recognisable as it was a powerhouse and everywhere back in the day. The bottle design is simple but easy to hold whilst spraying, a lot of bottles try to be fancy recently and they are a nightmare to be able to hold comfortably whilst spraying yourself. I have a large collection of designer and niche fragrances but wanted this as modern styles are a little too sweet or youthful smelling, being aimed at the younger generation and even though they say masculine, they are actually unisex for mass appeal. This fragrance is definitely masculine and distinctive. Even though it's been reformulated over the years it's still a BEAST in performance. If your the kind of person who uses 2-3 sprays of modern designer fragrances as you don't want to offend anyone with your scent, this might not be for you. Initial projection on my skin was about 2 meters for the first hour, slowly reigning itself in to about a 2 foot projection from hour 1 into hour 2 and then down to a skin scent before it was gone at about 3.5-4 hours. This to me is amazing for a couple of reasons, first of all it's an eau de toilette which puts it's longevity bang on what expectations are for it's concentration but secondly it by far out performs some of my other fragrances that are eau de parfum concentration and cost 10 times more than this bottle costs. Simply put, a nice throwback style scent, can be used anytime if your the kind of person who is unapologetic about smelling like a boss and isn't worried about others smelling your raw alpha dominance before you get into the room.

Arrived quicker than estimated. Well packaged. Smells great, takes me straight back to the eighties. Although a retro brand I think that the fresh fragrance is still wearable today by all age groups, it's not one of those "old man smells" if you know what I mean. Other reviewers worry about the authenticity of their bottles due to the back of the bottles being blank without any text on it. My bottle was sold by glamstore UK, and my bottle also had no text on the back of the bottle BUT it smells strong, and after 2.5 hours and also having been in the shower, I can still smell it on my skin. So I am pretty confident that it is genuine with that sort of performance.

Strong, and leathery. It’s not for me, that’s not saying it’s not nice, it’s definitely there. And if that’s your vibe, go for it. The blue one is the safest modern wear. Smells like dove clean and fresh deodorant/shower gel. Orange is a bit more challenging. Probably not for a teen. A lot more amber. Scent profile is a fair way away from the black., Black, this one. Very retro, probably not ideal for a small office either. It is interesting tho,

Great perfume, cannot go wrong.

I've always loved the smell of this men's spray and am so glad they still make it. Even with shipping it's cheaper on Amazon than at Walmart.
