Perfect Long Distance Solution
These were purchased to solve a very unique issue with transmitting audio from a bluetooth device (using a bluetooth receiver) over long distance to a whole house audio receiver. The reason this is useful is that I can now locate the bluetooth receiver in a specific area of the house and have the audio travel over a CAT5 cable through multiple walls in the house to the multi zone receiver. I would highly recommend using very good quality RCA cables to reduce noise. I had some cheap cables that I used initially that caused a hum. So if you hear a hum noise, it may very well be related to poor quality cables.

High quality sound
Works great. Excellent sound quality even when using 100’ cable

Definite buzz made them useless
Thought that the quality metal body construction would mean a better product. Not so much. I’ve used cheaper plastic units and now these and these are noisy and introduce audible buzzing that the cheaper units do not create or pick up.

Significant buzz. Replaced with an alternative product all great. Do not buy.
