OXO Good Grips Refrigerator Egg Bin with Removable Tray

I've had a number of egg holders over the years. I also don't write many reviews. However, I thought I would give this a whirl. This is the best egg container I've owned. Thoughtfully designed, sturdy and easy to clean. On top of it all, it looks great in the fridge.

I had a very old fridge egg holder. This one beats that one by a mile. First it has a cover. My loaf of bread fits on there perfectly. Second the inside section where the eggs sit is removable and washable. If an egg breaks, it is easy to clean. It holds more than 18 eggs so when you have a few left over and you are adding a carton of eggs it works out great. I love it. I may seem like a simple thing but it works so efficiently for my fridge and family. Great design.

I wasn’t exactly sure how much I would like moving toward a more “organized” fridge, but after setting up this egg container, I’m sold! The difference between this and a store carton is immediate—the clean lines and modular design make the whole fridge look intentional. There are other brands that offer similar options, but I went with OXO for the modern look, the white handle that makes push/pull easy, and the lid that lets me stack items on top without worrying about damage. The removable tray is simple to clean, and the overall build has that sturdy OXO feel. My problem with boiled eggs was their odor in the refrigerator, but not anymore! This egg storage container with lid has been the perfect solution. Minimally sized, it holds 20 eggs which for 3 boiled eggs per workday x5, nicely caters to my weekly food-prep. Clear plastic transparent construction eliminates any mystery of what’s inside. Sturdy, stackable and with a clean look, it’s got a great design not needing improvement that I can think of. An easy 5 stars!

We live on a sailboat so our fridge is not like what people have in their homes. Stuff gets removed and replaced a lot and eggs are an issue - the more you move them the more the risk of breaking them. I wound up using strong rubber bands (elastics) at each end to keep the lid on, and covering the eggs with a tea towel to keep them in place. Thus modified, I can be a bit less paranoid about moving the box a dozen times a day. Having said that, OXO always uses good sturdy plastic and I think I'd have to try hard to break this box. Excellent purchase for a home though

I've been getting eggs from a local farmer recently, and they're so good that I've been using more eggs than I used to! But the cartons take up a lot of room in the fridge, so I went looking for a better option. What I like about the OXO Good Grips egg holder is that the egg tray holds the eggs securely - no rolling around; it holds a variety of sizes of eggs; it holds more than many of the other egg holders - 20 instead of 18; if I have 2 dozen or more eggs, I can fit the extras between the eggs in the little cups (you can't put the lid on then, but it fits nicely under the tray); the egg holder is a separate piece, making it easy to remove and clean; and if I need room for a LOT of eggs, I can remove the egg holder and put them directly in the tray, which still takes up less room than two egg cartons.

Good to have a crush proof container for eggs in my fridge and one that I can wash as well. Cardboard ones you get are ok but not reusable since you can't wash them. This holds more than a dozen which is a plus. I like the top lid (good for stacking) and size works well for all size eggs. Recomended.

You can pull from the handle or you can stack them from the cover they come with, I love the egg bases can be take away for washing or just turn to get the old eggs first.
