Perfect front sight for a M&P Bodyguard
I used a sight pusher to remove the factory front sight. I put the Meprolight sight in the freezer for an hour then using a brass punch and a hammer easily installed it. The white dot on the Meprolight is sized perfectly for the factory rear sights which i did not replace. Its an added bonus that the sight glows bright green when the lights are out. These sights are excellent and a great economical upgrade to the Bodyguard.

Worked very well, but could not handle 10 mm
Easily installed, and improved accuracy and night visibility. Rear sight slid right on the S&W 10mm, but could not endure the 10mm pounding. Came loose and fell off-- somewhere. Used Loctite on set screw, but fit was just too loose. Would still buy again because material is of very high quality, but it would take some serious professional gunsmithing to keep the sights on 10mm.

No Allen Wrench provided
No Allen Wrench provided and that"s why only four stars for this night sight set. It requires a very small allen wrench to set the rear sight. I have replaced sights on S&W Shields before, and this is the problem I've encountered on THIS sight set replacement. Like several reviewers have mentioned, the original front sight is tightly set. The rear sight requires an allen wrench key to remove it. What surprised me is the small size of the wrench required to install the Meprolight rear sight. Removing the original fiber optic rear sights was done with a key I had and have used before with other sights. this one is different. One person answering a question said this, "None came with mine either. It uses an Allen/hex wrench. The same size that adjusts the bridge saddles on Fender guitars. 0.050" I believe." I can't verify if he's right or not, but I will have to... I'll try to provide more info about this issue later. Otherwise, quality of the sight set seem pretty good, especially for the money.Update: (1/09/2021)- Just received my order of the "EKLIND 10111 Hex-L Key allen wrench - 11pc set SAE Inch Sizes .050-1/4 Short series" and am happy to say that the littlest allen wrench, that's the 0.050", tiny by any sane person's standard, well, IT FITS. I am so happy. This EKLIND allen wrench set cost me a bit more than five dollars, it's made in the USA, and it is quality tools that I will certainly hang onto and may even use that one little wrench again sometime.Adding in the $5.32 cost of the allen wrench set, the Meprolight night sight set is still well worth it. Now- 5 stars.Update(2/282021): Still quite satisfied with this tritium night sight set; just wish ammo was easier to lay hands on.

Budget sights, budget performance.
I've had my Trudots installed on my Shield for a little over a year now and here's what I have to say about them:They are notable at night, and the darker the better for them. Once you reach a level of light that is that of dusk/low light they are unremarkable. I wouldn't mind that if the white paint was more apparent for them. They are mediocre at best in low light, which is a step down from the original sights which were a fairly stark white. It was this that has docked the love for me, as they lose applicability unless in true darkness or at least near it.Something I DO enjoy about these is the shelf the rear sight provides. If you wanted to hook the rear sight on your belt to rack the slide, you absolutely can with these. The stock sights are low snag designed and this isn't an option with them. The aggressive shelf also helps a small amount with manually cycling, but I wouldn't mark this as a selling point as it is a little uncomfortable without gloves. It is worth noting, however. This is strictly personal, but my sights have dimmed notably since I have first installed them. At around ~$70 and a 12 year guarantee, dimming with any notarity in a single year is unacceptable to me. I DO intend to contact Meprolight and see if I can have this resolved under their waranty, because I do enjoy night sights. They are durable, even if the powder coat has rubbed off on my carry side. That doesn't bother me as much as it may some, but an item that gets used well will attain a sort of 'patina'. I don't worry about them snapping, cracking or physically deteriorating. If you're considering night sights and on a limited budget, I would likely recommend Ameriglos over these given my current experience with them. Also, I would advise something with a brighter front post such as Ameriglo's UC design with a bright red ring around the tritium insert which make it MUCH more visible in low light than without it. If money isn't an issue, I would recommend Trijicons. I don't know how strongly I'd recommend these.

They popped right on
You'll need a bench vise and a punch. Tap em out, tap em in. I like them.

Very nice sights. Put these on my S&W M&P Shield ...
Very nice sights. Put these on my S&W M&P Shield 9mm. Original sights were the tightest sights I've ever taken off. These installed relatively easy. Make sure you use a sight pusher. If you use a punch to put them in, you may likely break the small glass capsules that hold the tritium. These are very bright sights. Tritium is definitely the way to go and these are the cheapest true tritium sights I've seen. They are made to fit all the M&P guns. The Shield is the most narrow and these sights go all the way to the edge. Sometimes, you can catch the very corner of the sight with your hand when cycling the slide. It's not bad by any means, I just wish they wire a tad more narrow. If I was doing them again, I would likely take a small stone to the corners and smooth them some.Caught them when they were on sale for $66 and put them on my Shield 9mm. If they drop to that price again, I'm in for two more sets (hint to the seller).
