Great conclusion to the Beyond the Spiderwick Trilogy
This is book 3 of the Beyond the Spiderwick Chroncles box set. Its a must have if you're a Spiderwick fan.We were in a hurry to hear the next installment of this trillogy, so I ordered from Amazon prime- next day delivery and did not receive the package for almost a week - Amazon made no attempt to rectify the shipping costs which is a big let down. But 5 stars for the story.

Still entertaining
This book is a nice follow-up from the last book, although it is a little bit formulaic compared to the other series. Older sibling comes into play, sibling kidnapped, crazy old-person advisor, etc. That's what kept it from getting five stars. Otherwise, it's a really fun kids book that most kids should enjoy. The ones I read it to did. There was some concern on Amazon.com about harsh language, but I can't remember any real cursing in the book. The story involves the continued quest against the giants, and ends in a surprising twist that sets up the final book of the series nicely. The comments above not withstanding, the writing is as fun and energetic as any of the books of the series, and the characters tend to grow on you over time. Overall, a good book for kids and one that most adults should be able to enjoy reading to them.

Grandson's Books
The continuing saga and just as good as the original Spiderwick series. We always sign up as soon as these series are available for our grandson, who loves them. Since we originally were stationed in Florida, we miss it and this book also captures the essence of the way Florida used to be. This is another excellent book for young people, so much better than other currently available series for this age. My wife and I enjoy it too.

brilliant follow up to spiderwick.
if you are into spiderwick stories, the next books are well worth having. they are giving my son hours of fun still now when he takes the books out with him on the hunt for goblins and faries. would recomend the fieldguide into the collection.
